Pune: The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has released the information bulletin for the NEET PG admissions for 2022.

Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) conducts Post Graduate training primarily for the doctors of the Armed Forces Medical Services so as to fulfill the specialist requirements. Surplus seats, if any, are offered to sponsored candidates of Friendly Foreign Countries, Para-military / other Govt. of India organizations, exservicemen (Ex-SSC AMC officers) and civilian doctors. The civilian doctors who get admission in post graduate courses at any AFMS institution shall be liable to serve for 05 years in AFMS.

Important dates at a glance -

1. Online Registration on DGHS website - www.mcc.nic.in (MCC will publish dates after the declaration of results)

2. Availability of Priority-wise merit list from DGHS - completion of the registration process

3. Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) Counselling - Dates will be published on www.afmcdg1d.gov.in (counselling will be held online except for Priority V candidates).

Candidates should adopt the following methodology –

1. All candidates seeking admission to any of the institutions of the AFMS will have to appear in the NEET mandatorily- PG 2022.

2. All candidates must register and opt for AFMS on the Medical Counseling Committee website www.mcc.nic.in to be eligible for AFMS PG counselling.

3. A copy of the printed registration slip/printout of the registration details page should be kept safely by the candidate to be produced during physical counselling.

4. The merit list of the candidates (priority-wise) who have successfully registered on the DGHS/MCC website and have secured a minimum of percentile marks in NEET-PG 2022 will be displayed on the website. Only these candidates will be provisionally eligible for the AFMS PG counselling, the schedule of which shall be available on the website in due course of time.

5. There is a provision for a mop-up round of counselling for the seats remaining vacant after 1st round of counselling. Candidates desirous of participating in a mop-up round of AFMS counselling will have to register on the DGHS/MCC website to be eligible for AFMS PG counselling.

Candidates may kindly note that appearance in NEET-PG does not confer any automatic rights to secure a Postgraduate MD/MS/Diploma seat in an AFMS institution. Candidates who have registered for AFMS PG counselling on the DGHS/MCC website only will be considered for PG seats at AFMS institutes through AFMS counselling subject to fulfilling the admission criteria, eligibility, medical fitness and any such criteria as may be prescribed by the respective universities, AFMS institutions, National Medical Council and State/Central Government.

Candidates producing false or fabricated information shall not be considered for admission to AFMS institutes. Their eligibility is purely provisional and is subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria as prescribed in this Information Bulletin.

By registering for AFMS PG counselling on the DGHS/MCC website, they are deemed to have read, agreed and accepted the terms and conditions in the Information Bulletin of AFMS for admission to PG courses for the year 2022. The number of candidates to be admitted in any discipline during the academic session 2022 - 2025 will be determined by the number of postgraduate teachers available, the student-teacher ratio and any other criteria laid down by the Board of Governors in suppression of NMC and affiliated University from time to time.

All other relevant timelines/ information will be made available on the DGHS website www.mcc.nic.in and the AFMS website www.afmcdg1d.gov.in Candidates are requested to visit these websites regularly for updates.

Eligibility criteria –

1. Admission to the postgraduate medical courses at AFMS institutions, subject to the priorities laid down in the prospectus, is open to graduates of medical colleges recognized by the National Medical Council and who have registered themselves as Registered Medical Practitioners with any State Medical Council recognized by NMC. In addition, students who have completed/are completing an internship on or before 31st July 2022, as notified by NBE in their Information Bulletin, are eligible to apply. However, the Provisional Registration Certificate / Permanent Registration Certificate should be available at the time of admission.

2. The candidate must be a citizen of India (except Priority-II candidates).

3. Priority-II (Friendly Foreign Candidates) sponsored by the Government and approved by the DGAFMS should have passed their MBBS / equivalent examination (Authority: Govt of India, Ministry of Defence letter No F/PC- 8510/DGAFMS/DG-1/345/2013/D(Med) dated 06th March 2013) and also qualified NEET-PG 2022. As per NMC guidelines, Priority-II candidates must apply for temporary registration in NMC under NMC Act.

Non-eligibility criteria –

1. The candidates will not be eligible if they have cancelled or failed to report for admission in the past, which has resulted in a lapse of a seat.

2. A candidate already pursuing any PG course shall not be eligible for admission to the PG course.

Number of seats –

1. The institution-wise tentative number of seats available in each speciality for the year 2022 session will be uploaded before the counselling.

2. After fulfilling the AFMS requirements, remaining seats, if any, will be available to Priority II (Sponsored candidates from Friendly Foreign Countries), Priority III candidates (Para Mil and other Govt. of India sponsored candidates), Priority IV (Ex-SSC AMC Officers) and Priority V (Civilian doctors) in that order.

Priority/category for admission –

1. Priority-I - AFMS Officers detailed on the advanced specialist course/other courses as per guidelines of NMC/ NBE.

2. Priority-II - Foreign students sponsored by the Government - On approval of DGAFMS/MoD/MEA subject to conditions laid down by the Govt. of India

3. Priority–III - Medical Officers sponsored by Para Military Organization / other Govt. of India organization. A sponsorship certificate mentioning the subjects for sponsorship by the sponsoring authority is a mandatory requirement for the candidate to be considered for counselling.

4. Priority-IV – Ex-SSC AMC Officers released from service after completion of contractual service and within three years after their release from service. The release date should not be before 01st May 2019 or after the date of AFMS counselling for the NEET PG 2022 session.

5. Priority–V - Civilian candidates willing to serve in the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) subject to their fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned in para 20 in the notice below.

Documents to be submitted at the time of admission –

1. 06 (Six) Passport size photographs

2. Copy of the NEET-PG 2022 Admit card and printed copy of the DGHS website registration slip.

3. NEET-PG 2022 rank card allotted by NBE.

4. Class X / SSLC / ICSE certificate as a valid certificate of proof of age.

5. Nationality Certificate/ Xerox copy of valid passport /Domicile Certificate (where applicable)/ Birth Certificate endorsed with nationality as Indian on it.

6. First to Final year MBBS Mark Sheets of the respective University.

7. MBBS Pass Certificate / Degree Certificate.

8. Internship Completion Certificate.

9. Permanent / Provisional State Medical Council registration certificate.

10. Attempt Certificate.

11. Transfer Certificate / Migration certificate

12. Educational Gap affidavit, if any

13. Allotment letter, which will be provided at the time of AFMS PG counselling

14. Priority III candidates (Para-Military Officers / other Govt of India Org): Subject-specific sponsorship certificate (as per format placed at Appx' A') issued by the respective Para-Military / other Govt of India organization is mandatory. This has to be produced at the time of counselling, without which the candidate shall not be allowed to attend the counselling. During counselling, candidates will be considered eligible for only those subjects mentioned in their sponsorship certificate duly signed by competent authority delegated by the Head of the respective Organization. An original copy of the sponsorship certificate will be required to be deposited during counselling.

15. Priority IV candidates - In the case of Ex-AMC SSC officers, release order from Armed Forces Medical Services by DGAFMS / concerned Medical Directorate and movement order from the last unit for proceeding on release will be required to be shown in original at the time of counselling and admission. SSC officers in their last year of contractual service will have to produce their original release order from the Armed Forces Medical Services at the time of counselling, without which the candidate will not be allowed to attend the counselling. In their extended contractual service, SSC officers must also have a copy of the NOC from the O/o DGAFMS, besides proof of being released from service on the date of admission.

16. Declaration by the candidate is placed at Appx' B'.

Method of selection –

1. Entrance Examination - All candidates desirous of joining the AFMS institutes must have mandatorily appeared in the NEET-PG 2022 and registered for AFMS Counseling on the DGHS website www.mcc.nic.in.

2. Merit List - A priority-wise merit list will be prepared after receipt of the list of registered candidates from the DGHS, and the same will be uploaded on the AFMS website www.afmcdg1d.gov.in before the AFMS counselling. Candidates are advised to follow the notices on the websites regularly for updates.

Counselling session –

1. Priority-wise online counselling will be held based on candidates' merit- cum-choice except for P-V, whose counselling will be held physically.

2. The seat matrix will be displayed at the time of counselling.

3. All other priorities will follow counselling for Priority-I candidates. ONLY those vacancies which remain vacant after filling the seats by the serving officers and foreign-sponsored candidates will be available for allotment to other priorities. These seats will be filled in the order of priority and merit secured by the candidates.

4. All candidates are requested to watch the AFMS website www.afmcdg1d.gov.in regularly for updates on the schedule of counselling.

5. Eligibility of the candidates will be the responsibility of the candidate themselves as per the criteria mentioned in the Information Bulletin. They should check their eligibility for Priority/ Institution/ subject before participating in the counselling process.

6. The candidates who have been issued the admission letter shall produce all the original certificates for verification as applicable. Candidates without documents in original at the time of admission will not be eligible for admission to the college even if they have the necessary merit.

Admission procedure –

1. Admission to PG courses at AFMS institutions is provisional subject to confirmation/ratification by the Office of DGAFMS & University concerned. The selected candidates are required to submit additional documents/ certificates as per the specific requirements of the institute/ University. Candidates should ascertain these details from the Dean Academics of the institute.

2. Decision of Commandant of the college regarding admission of candidates shall be final and binding.

3. All candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards of the NEET- PG 2022 and NEET Rank card till the allotment of the seats and admission to the institution.

4. Medical examination of civilian (Priority V) candidates: This is a mandatory requirement for all civilian (Priority V) candidates. The medical standards required for civilian candidates apply for selection as commissioned officers in Armed Forces Medical Services. Admission to PG courses shall only be given to those civilian doctors. They are found medically fit for commission by a designated Medical Board as per the medical standards for commissioning. For reference to the candidates, the medical parameters are available at www.indianarmy.nic.in, and the same is also available on the DGAFMS website. The candidates who are found medically unfit by the Medical Board will not be admitted to any of the AFMS institutes.

The candidates will follow the fee structure as laid down by the University / existing Govt. of India regulations. Fees will not be refunded once admission is completed.
