New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has removed a total of 10 seats from the Round 2 seat matrix of the NEET SS Counselling 2025 after receiving information about duplicate entries from participating institutes.

The affected seats are spread across Assam, Maharashtra, and Karnataka and cover the DM, MCh, and DNB SS courses.

According to the MCC notice issued in this regard, the duplicate entries were identified and withdrawn before the commencement of seat processing for Round 2. Candidates have therefore been advised to take note of the changes while exercising or reviewing their choices.

The biggest impact is at Gauhati Medical College, Assam, where a total of 7 seats have been removed across three super-speciality programmes after the institute informed MCC that the seats were duplicate entries. Of these, a total of 2 seats are from DM Medical Gastroenterology, 1 seat is from Neurology and 3 seats are from MCh Paediatric Surgery courses. All seven seats were listed under the Open category.

In Maharashtra, one DM Nephrology seat at Dr Ulhas Patil Medical College & Hospital, Jalgaon has also been withdrawn following information received from the institute.

From Karnataka, two DNB SS Rheumatology seats at Manipal Hospital Pvt. Ltd. (formerly Vikram Hospital), Bengaluru have been removed from the Round 2 matrix.
