TN Health releases tentative round 2 NEET SS 2025 counselling schedule, seat matrix

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Selection Committee (TN Health) has released the tentative schedule for Round 2 counselling for DM and MCh courses for the 2025-26 academic session in government medical colleges across the state.

As per the notification, the online registration process has begun and continue till April 2, 2026, followed by choice filling, result declaration, and admission procedures, all to be conducted based on NEET SS 2025 qualifications.

INSTRUCTIONS-

Don’t share your login id, OTP and password with others 

• Fresh Candidates who have not registered in Round I, will have to remit a non-refundable amount of R s .1,000/- as processing fee through online by using a Debit Card /Net Banking or Credit Card. The candidates who have already registered in Round I need not pay again.

The candidates who have been allotted and joined in Round I can opt for upgradation and need to register to arise virtual vacancy.

Clear and virtual vacancies will be displayed in the website.

The candidates who have been holding a seat in round I, if allotted a seat in Round II counselling should definitely vacate the seat.

Candidates should be vigilant while choice filling.

Vacancy position of the Course will be available on official websites. Candidates have to ensure their preference for choice filling after carefully considering their options regarding higher speciality courses (their eligibility in multiple eligible broad speciality feeders).

There is no reservation in Super Specialty (D.M./M.Ch./DNB) courses in compliance of the Direction of Hon’ble Supreme Court in: i. W.P. (c) 290/1997 & W.P. (c) 444/ 2015

Selection o f c an d i d a t e s to HIGHER SPECIALITY (DM/MCH) course shall be made by the ONLINE COUNSELLING on the basis of NEET SS rank. This counselling is exclusively only for in-service candidates of state of Tamil Nadu as per the order issued by Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 02.12.2022 in W.P (C) No. 53/2022.

Candidates selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned Medical College that he / she is liable for forfeiture of selection / admission if suppression of facts or mis-interpretation are found at any time during or after the admission to the course.

Candidates should pay the tuition fee and then download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College on or before the date and time stipulated as mentioned in the allotment order during the first phase of online counseling.

Allotted in-service candidates who discontinue the course after the last date of joining should pay the Discontinuation Fees besides foregoing tuition fees already paid by them, to the Deans of the respective Colleges, the sum as specified below in total by means of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai – 10”, payable at Chennai.

Discontinuation Fees : Rs. 20,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty lakhs only) to be paid by the candidates who discontinues the course after the end of counselling as per notification by Selection Committee/ NBEMS.

Unless the aforesaid discontinuation fee as penalty amount is paid in total, the candidates will not be relieved and original certificates submitted by the candidates at the time of admission will be retained by the concerned institutions.

Selection committee does not take responsibility for any Connectivity error.

The candidates should produce the following original certificates in person at the time of joining in their selected Medical College along with the scanned copy of original certificates to the concerned College.

a) NEET S S -2025-Score Card.

b) NEET S S-2025 Admit Card.

c) Aadhar Card

d) PG Degree Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificatee) Permanent Medical Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council or Provisional Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council.

f) TNPSC/MRB (through competitive written examination) Selection & Posting Order for service candidates.

g) Eligibility Certificate, if applicable.

h) Post Card size color photograph (4”x6”) the same photo that has been uploaded in NEET SS-2025.

Candidates are instructed to produce the above mentioned original Certificates/ Documents at the time of joining in the Medical College for certificate verification.

Candidates while downloading their provisional allotment order should pay the non-refundable Tuition Fee via Debit Card /Net Banking or Credit Card.

The Tuition Fee paid at the time of downloading provisional allotment order is non-refundable if the candidate does not join or discontinues the course.

The selected candidates have to pay any balance of the Tuition Fee (if any) and other special fees etc., at the time of admission in their respective colleges.
