According to the Notification, candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 2 but either do not join their allotted college or if they resign the joined institution before the stipulated resignation date, they will be allowed free exit meaning there will be no forfeiture of any fees, but if the candidate resigns or discontinues after the stipulated date for resignation later, they will have to forfeit the security deposit and Tuition fess already paid and also pay the discontinuation fee as mentioned in the prospectus of Government quota clause 23 and clause 20 of the prospectus management quota.
The DME has set the stipulated date for resignation window is from 03.10.2025 at 5.00 PM till 09.10.2025, 02.00 PM. Any resignation after the due date will attract forfeiture of Security Deposit and Tuition fee and payment of Discontinuation fees.
Candidates willing for resignation may login using their original credentials and download the resignation letter and submit to the concerned college for return of their original certificates. This applies only for candidates who have joined / retained in round 2 & Round 1. (Resignation will not apply for candidates who have not joined their allotted seats)
The Selection Committee of Tamil Nadu DME emphasized adherence to these deadlines to ensure a smooth and transparent admission process for MBBS and BDS aspirants across the state.
In a separate notice, the TN Health informed issued details on the Reserved Quota Seats Reverted to Management Pool Per Prospectus.
"As per the Management Quota Prospectus G.O.(D) No.602 Health and Family Welfare Department dated.05.06.2025 clause 4-f, 14 –VII, 14-VIII and 14-X Unfilled seats of NRI Quota and earmarked linguistic and religious Minority quota seats will be reverted back general Management quota in subsequent round of counselling. The resultant management quota seats, as the result of the above clauses are available under management quota in this round," the notice said.
