WBMCC Extends Date Of Verification For PwD NEET Candidates
West Bengal: The West Bengal Main Computerized Counselling (WBMCC) has extended the date of verification for PwD NEET candidates.
As per the notice, the NEET 2023 PwD verification and certification of eligibility of PwD candidates is going on at the Medical Board of IPGMER Kolkata. The date of verification and certification of eligibility has been extended till 14.7.2023. This date is extended for leftover candidates, if any, as per 21 benchmark disability as per the Disabilities Act 2016. Previously the last date was 10.7.2023. Now 4 more days of extension has been given.
The candidates have to bring all treatment-related documents along with the original PH Certificate, 4 copies of recent passport-size photos, rank card, residential proof, etc. All these have to be submitted during a medical examination for necessary identification, treatment details and documents for verification.
The admission process across the state is based on the NEET entrance exam. Admission for UG courses is based, and NEET UG and admission for PG Medical courses is based on NEET PG. Both exams are conducted once a year. Those who qualify for the NEET are only eligible for admission. The seats are allocated based on the merit of the candidates and the choices filled by them. The counselling process is usually carried out in 4 rounds (round 1, round 2, mop-up, and spot round). Spot round is conducted only if seats remain vacant after the first 3 rounds.
Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that WBMCC has invited online applications for admission to Sponsored DNB seats (Post MBBS and Post Diploma) 2023. The applications will have to be submitted by 5:00 pm on 17.7.2023. The submission of the application will be via email at tr.noc.mert@gmail.com for the candidates of WBHS and WBPHAS and via email at wbcounselingcell@gmail.com for the candidates of WBMES in the required format.
