WBMCC Issues notice on NEET PG, MDS Mop-Up Round admissions
West Bengal: The West Bengal Main Computerized Counselling (WBMCC) issued details about the PG Medical and Dental admission mop-up round.
As per the notice, the mop-up round choice filling, choice processing and choice locking will start soon.
As there is possible seat conversion in the mop-up round in case of actual vacancy arises and there is no eligible candidate in that caste/category PwD status to take such a seat. Such a seat may be considered for allotment as per the conversion rule.
Accordingly, candidates may be able to view virtual choices as well during choice filling. The candidates can fill and arrange these choices in their choice basket per their wish. These choices shall only be considered for allotment when vacancies arise and seat conversion occurs as per rule during the mop-up round allotment process. The candidates are therefore advised to fill choices carefully and not get confused.
Eligibility for mop-up round –
1. The candidates who remain not allotted till Round 2 are allowed to participate in mop Up straight away by fresh choice filling; they do not need to pay the counselling fee again.
2. Already successfully verified candidates in Rounds 1 and 2 who failed to provide a choice during the earlier rounds are allowed to participate in mop Up; they do not need to pay the counselling fee again.
3. The candidates whose allotted seats were cancelled in round 2 due to inadequate documentation but remain eligible for a subsequent round with changed candidature are allowed in mop Up counselling straight away for choice filling and locking {after successful verification ).
4. The candidates who remain not reported during round 2 counselling are allowed to participate in mop Up counselling, but with a penalty, i.e., they must make a new fee payment.
Non-eligibility for mop-up round -
1. Already registered candidates who have not filled up fresh choices in the mop Up round is not allowed in mop Up counselling or any further round of counselling.
2. The candidates who remain admitted after round 2 of West Bengal State Quota Counseling are not allowed to participate in mop Up counselling or a further round of counselling.
3. The Surrendered candidates and the candidate who were cancelled during the admission process due to lack of essential documents, and the candidates who were cancelled during the admission process due to a change of category and thereby became non-eligible for further rounds of counselling, are not allowed for participation in mop Up counselling or a further round of counselling.
