WBMCC issues notice on NEET PG, MDS Round 1, Round 2 Of Counselling Process

West Bengal: The West Bengal Main Computerized Counselling (WBMCC) informed about NEET PG and NEET MDS admission for 2022-23. The counselling process already started on 19th October 2022.

The following details have been issued related to Round 1 and Round 2 of the counselling process -

1. The eligible candidates who paid the fee during Round 1 but failed to appear for verification can download the acknowledgement letter (the acknowledgement letter may show the date and time of Round 1 schedule as it was in Round 1 when the candidate paid the fee, but they can appear in the same venue as mentioned in the said acknowledgement letter) and can appear for verification.

2. NBEMS reduces the cut-off for NEET MDS 2022 vide their public notice dated 14-10-2022, and such candidates who are now eligible due to the revised cut-off can participate in this Round 2 counselling.

3. The candidates allotted in Round 1 got admitted in Round 1 and opted for Round 2; if they do not fill choice during round 2, their earlier seat of Round 1 shall remain intact.

4. The candidates allotted in Round 1 got admitted in Round 1 and opted for Round 2; if they fill choice during round 2, no allotment is received in Round 2, and the earlier admitted seat in Round 1 shall remain intact.

5. The candidates in the final eligible list for Round 2 can provide a choice for Round 2 counselling. The fresh choice filling is needed for allotment. If qualified and listed candidates do not make new choices, they will not be considered for allotment.

6. The candidates, who have already verified in Round 1, are not required to attend for verification again.

7. The candidates who are allotted private medical college or private dental college like KPC Medical College/IQ City Medical College/ICARE Haldia/JIMS Budge Budge/GIMSH Durgapur/GNIDSR Panihati/HIDSAR Haldia; are advised to attend the admission kiosk of the above-stated hospitals that shall be set up at the premises of Calcutta National Medical College Kolkata during admission schedule like Round 1.

8. Few Medical and Dental candidates have requested the initialization of their data through nodal officers at verification venues in Round 1. After initialization by the system, such candidates shall be able to log in and apply fresh with payment of fees, as all their earlier data from the system shall be erased.

9. Round 1 not reported candidates may also participate and fill in choice in Round 2.

10. There is a concept of Relieving letter for the candidates who were admitted in Round 1, then provided willingness for Round 2, filled up fresh choices in Round 2 and now got allotted in Round 2. The candidates have to release documents and fees from previously admitted colleges, get server-generated relieving letters from that college and then move to the newly allotted college for admission. All these must be done within the schedule of access for Round 2.

11. The candidate admitted in Round 1 not provide willingness for Round 2 shall retain his Round 1 seat as it is and, at the end of Round 2, shall be considered as remaining admitted in the same seat after Round 2.

12. The candidate who gets a new allotment in Round 2, if admitted in that seat, then after the Round 2 admission process is over, shall be considered to be remaining in that seat of Round 2.

13. After the completion of the admission process of Round 2, the data of the remaining admitted/ retained candidates shall be shared with Govt of India counselling authority, and such a list shall be out of further round/s of Counseling.

14. If the candidate does not report to their allotted seat of Round 2, then such the candidate may be allowed for Mop Up Round as not retaining any seat in WB PG 2022 counselling only if the such candidate is also not retaining any seat in All India PG counselling 2022 as well. However, such a candidate can only participate in centralized mop-up if pays the counselling fee once again as the penalty for not reporting.

15. The eligibility details for round 2, the documents needed for verification and admission etc., are already stated in earlier notices published on the counselling website www.wbmcc.nic.in, and the candidates are requested to go through them for reference. They may also contact the Help Centre, the contact detail provided on the same website as stated above.
