AIIMS Nagpur notifies on Summer Break For MBBS, BSc Nursing, Paramedical Students

Nagpur: All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS Nagpur) has informed the students about summer break for MBBS, BSc Nursing, and Paramedical courses.

As per the notice, the summer break is scheduled for May 2023. MBBS breaks are from 1.5.2023 till 15.5.2023 and 1.5.2023 till 30.5.2023 for BSc Nursing and Paramedical courses.

Detail schedule –

1.1.5.2023 till 15.5.2023 (15 days) – MBBS 2019, MBBS 2020, MBBS 2021, MBBS 2022

2. 1.5.2023 till 30.5.2023 (30 days) – BSc Nursing 2021, BSc Nursing 2022, Paramedical 2021, Paramedical 2022.


All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur, is among the four AIIMS announced during the budget speech 2014-15 under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). The Foundation stone for the institute was laid by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, at Sector 20, MIHAN, on 14th April 2017. Union Cabinet Minister for Road Transport and Highway and Shipping (GoI), Shri Nitin Gadkari, and several other dignitaries graced the occasion.

The primary objective of AIIMS is “correcting regional imbalances in the availability of affordable/reliable tertiary healthcare services and augment facilities for quality medical education in the country.” The facilities available are a learning resource center, hostel, hospital, IPD services, and OPD services.

Recently, the Medical Dialogues team reported that AIIMS Nagpur had released the timetable for internship induction training and the schedule for the MBBS 2018 batch. The internship induction training started on 5.2.2023 and continues till 11.2.2023. The subjects included are - E&T -Emergency & Trauma, MED- Medicine, SURG- Surgery, CM- Community Medicine, DS - diagnostic services, OBG- Obstetrics & Gynae, PAED-Paediatrics, ENT- Otorhinolaryngology, FMT-Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, PSY- Psychiatry, DER-Dermatology, TM- Transfusion Medicine, PMR- Physical Med & Rehab, ORTH-Orthopedics, ANES-Anaesthesia, E1- Elective 1, and E2- Elective 2.
