AACCC issues notice on Selection Of NIA Jaipur Seats for PG AYUSH admissions
Delhi: Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) has informed the candidates about selecting seats under the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur, Rajasthan.
As per the notice, all the candidates participating in round 2 of AACCC PG counselling and wish to choose a seat under the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur, Rajasthan, are requested to select types of counselling as “Central Universities/National Institutes” on the AACCC-PG portal for selection of choice (seats) under NIA, Jaipur, even though it comes under the category of Deemed to be University.
Suppose candidates are interested in seats under Deemed to be Universities other than NIA, Jaipur. In that case, they must choose Deemed University as the “Type of counselling” on the AACCC-PG Portal.
The National Institute of Ayurveda (abbreviated as NIA) is a research institute of Ayurvedic medicine located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The early institute was established as an independent Ayurvedic College by the Government of Rajasthan in 1946, which was later transformed into the National Institute of Ayurveda by the government of India. The institute was established on 7 February 1976 in Jaipur as an autonomous institute. On 13 November 2020, the Indian government announced that the NIA was Deemed to be a University under the De-novo category providing teaching, clinical training, conducting research and providing quality patient care services in the field of Ayurveda in India.
Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) of the Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India, New Delhi, was constituted with the approval of the Hon’ble Minister of State (I/c), Ministry of Ayush in the Year 2019. The primary responsibilities include finalization of the counselling procedure & schedule, coordination with the concerned agencies for counselling against State/UT quota seats, fixation of counselling fees (registration fees) & security deposits, etc.
