According to police, the interns involved were allegedly under the influence of alcohol. What began as pushing and shouting while waiting in the queue for food turned into a serious scuffle outside the hospital’s trauma centre.
The incident took place around 11 pm when an argument over standing in the food queue escalated into verbal abuse and physical violence. The two groups argued over pushing in line and alleged abusive language.

Following this, the police were informed, and they rushed to the spot and took the interns to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital (MGH) for medical examination.
Soon after, both groups clashed again outside the trauma centre. One intern allegedly brought a stick and assaulted another. People present at the spot recorded a video of the incident, which shows a woman trying to intervene and stop the fight.
In the video, two groups could reportedly be seen confronting each other, accusing one another of verbal abuse and physical assault. At one point, an intern doctor brings a stick and attacks members of the other group. A home guard present at the spot can be seen recording the incident.
One staff member is seen holding and pulling an intern doctor’s arm to stop the fight, while the doctor is heard saying, "How dare you abuse?" Another female staff member was seen separating the two sides.
Speaking to Bhaskar, Subhash Nagar SHO Kailash Chandra Bishnoi said, "A fest was organised at the medical college in Sanganer on Thursday night. During the event, two groups of intern doctors got into an argument over food, which later escalated into a clash. Police arrested three youths for breach of peace and took the intern doctors to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital (MGH) for medical examination. Both parties later reached the police station, where a compromise was reached. The complaints filed by both sides were subsequently withdrawn."
Medical College Principal Dr Varsha Singh said, "The dispute started over food and turned into a fight. We will take strict action, and that indiscipline would not be tolerated on campus."
