CPS Mumbai Issues Instructions For Students For Convocation Ceremony

Maharashtra: College of Physicians and Surgeons, Mumbai (CPS) has issued instructions for the students who have applied for the convocation ceremony in person and informed them about the compulsory submission of the Notarized declaration form by FCPS Students.

The students must enter the convocation hall and occupy a designated seat at noon on 17th February 2023. They will not be allowed in the convocation hall without an academic gown. The dress code has to be strictly formal, with no jeans/t-shirts, sleepers, or sports shoes. Mobiles are not allowed in the hall.

The students will not be allowed to leave the hall until the end of the ceremony. Rise and remain standing during the procession of the council.

Arrangements for the supply of academic gowns will be made in CPS on a hire basis. Hiring charges Rs. 300 for the academic gown and a refundable security deposit of Rs. 2000. Total Rs. 2300 to be paid directly to the contractor authorized by CPS. The gown can be hired between 11 am to 4 pm on 15th February 2023 OR 16th February 2023. It cannot be hired on 17th February 2023.

An authorized photographer will be available to take photographs of the ceremony during the handing over of the Convocation Certificate. Students can make bookings for the same. Personal photographers and photography will not be permitted in the convocational hall.

Candidates cannot invite guests, parents, or friends inside the convocation hall. However, a live ceremony display will be projected in the waiting area / social media.

All FCPS students who have applied for a conference in person will have to sign the declaration required by by-laws of CPS compulsorily and submit the notarized FCPS declaration form and 2 copies of the Aadhar Card on 15th February 2023 OR 16th February 2023 in CPS House Dr E. Borges Road, Parel, Mumbai - 400 012.

Students will not be permitted for convocation if a signed and notarized FCPS declaration form is not submitted before the convocation ceremony day.
