JIPMER Announces PG Orientation Program on Research Methodology for Final Year medicos, details

Puducherry- Through a circular, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) has announced about the Postgraduate (PG) Orientation Program on Research Methodology for the Final Year MD/MS, DM/MCh & MDS students.

The circular has been issued while addressing all the heads of Departments conducting MD/MS, DM/MCh & MDS Programs for circulation among MD/MS, DM/MCh & MDS Students.

As per the circular, the 2 ½ days PG Orientation Programme on Research Methodology for the final year MD/MS, DM/MCh & MDS students is scheduled to be held from 20 to 22 June 2024. However, on 21st June 2024 the event will be held at Lecture Hall-3, 3rd Floor, JAC and on 20th and 22nd June 2024 it will be held at Mini Auditorium, 4th Floor, JAC.

On this, all the Heads of the Departments who are running MD/MS, DM/MCh & MDS Programs are requested to kindly email the list of the candidates’ names of Final Year MD/MS, DM/MCh & MDS students (December 2024 exam going batch) with their e-mail IDs and Mobile number in the prescribed format on or before 15th June 2024 in a word file.

The format of the list of names of the candidates should first contain the name of the PG students, department, email ID, and mobile number.

There are two Co-ordinators for the PG Orientation Programme on Research Methodology for the final year MD/MS, DM/MCh & MDS students and they are Dr. Sivaraman G, Additional Professor & Head of ENT and Dr. Sunitha V C, Additional Professor & Head of Radio-Diagnosis.

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) is a medical school located in Pondicherry. It is an institute of national importance (INI) and a tertiary care referral hospital. It is under the direct administrative control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Indian Government, with autonomy to run its internal administration. The courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, super speciality, fellowships, PhD programs, post-basic diplomas, and certified courses.

JIPMER originated in the year 1823 as the Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry, established by the French Government. It was renamed Dhanvantari Medical College in 1956 at the time of the de facto transfer of Pondicherry to the Government of India.
