JIPMER notifies on Conduction Of Orientation Program In Research Methodology, Ethics For MPH, Msc AHS, Nursing, PGD Students

Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) has announced the conduction of the Orientation Program in Research Methodology & Ethics for MPH, MSc (AHS, Nursing) & PGD students.

The Orientation Program is scheduled for 10th October 2022 and 12th October 2022. It is for first-year MPH, MSc & PGD students admitted in July 2022 session and the second-year MSc (Medical Physiology & Medical Biochemistry) students admitted in July 2021 session. The venue will be the Department of Medical Education, JAC 4th Floor, JIPMER.

Registration for the Program will start sharp at 8.30 am on 10th October 2022. JIPMER has requested the participants to bring a fully charged laptop and a pen drive for workshop activities. Full-time attendance and punctuality is mandatory. It will be treated as absent if any student arrives late or fails to attend on any of the program days.

The concerned Heads of the Departments are requested to circulate this among their MPH, MSc & PGD students and permit them to attend the program.

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research is a medical school located in Pondicherry. It is an institute of national importance (INI) and a tertiary care referral hospital. It is under the direct administrative control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Indian Government, with autonomy to run its internal administration. The courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, super specialty, fellowships, PhD programs, post-basic diplomas, and certified courses.

JIPMER originated in the year 1823 as the Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry, established by the French Government. It was renamed Dhanvantari Medical College in 1956 at the time of the de facto transfer of Pondicherry to the Government of India. It was established on its current campus in 1964 and is spread over 1922 acres.

Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that JIPMER has announced the dates for submission of PG protocols to the Dean (Research) office. The last date for submission of the protocol to the Ethical committee - Dean (Research) office was 30th September 2022 for July 2022 batch. The late submission date without a fine is from 1st October 2022 – 31st October 2022. The late submission date with the fine is from 1st November 2022 – 10th November 2022.
