Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has announced the conduction of theory and practical Second MBBS exams in March and April.

The Students of Second MBBS appearing for the session March 2023 examinations must apply through the website link www.jipmer.edu.in\announcement\exit exams. The last date for application & online payment of fees is 26.03.2023. To avoid payment failure during application submission, the students are advised to apply through Desktop Computer or Laptop. Smartphones may not be used for application submission.

Further, JIPMER has notified that students must collect their Hall Ticket from ACADEMIC SECTION on 28.03.2023 at 2.00 pm.

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research is a medical school located in Pondicherry. It is an institute of national importance (INI) and a tertiary care referral hospital. It is under the direct administrative control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Indian Government, with autonomy to run its internal administration. The courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, super specialty, fellowships, PhD programs, post-basic diplomas, and certified courses.

JIPMER originated in 1823 as the Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry, established by the French Government. It was renamed Dhanvantari Medical College in 1956 at the time of the de facto transfer of Pondicherry to the Government of India. It was established on its current campus in 1964 and is spread over 1922 acres.
