JIPMER re-extends deadline for E Mehalingam Memorial Award and Dr JK Dutta Endowment Award, details

The E Mehalingam Memorial Award will be given to a PhD student for the best scientific paper presentation, while the Dr JK Dutta Endowment Award will be given to MD, MS, DM and MCh students for the best thesis in infectious diseases.

JIPMER has instructed the participants through the circular that “one hard copy of the manuscript along with the soft copy should be submitted to the Dean research office (email ID: ja1125@jipmer.ac.in). A cover letter with the title of the manuscript and the contact details of the applicant (including phone number) may be submitted on or before 25th January 2024. The last date of submission stands further extended from 15th January 2024 to 25th January 2024. Late submissions will not be considered. The applicants will be judged based on the manuscript submitted and the oral presentation during the research day”.

This circular has been issued by the Dean of JIPMER, where all HODs have been requested to circulate it among all the resident doctors of their department, including those who passed the exam in December 2022 or June 2023.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported about the extension of Dr JK Dutta's Endowment Award and E Mehlingam Memorial Award for MD, MS, DM, MCh and PhD students till January 15, 2024. The last date of submission for both the awards is extended from 31st December 2023 to 15th January 2024 for the students.
