MBBS education in UP to get major boost in August
Lucknow: In a major boost to the medical education sector in Uttar Pradesh, 9 new medical colleges are going to run in the upcoming month.
The medical colleges that will be made functional this month will be in districts - Deoria, Etah, Fatehpur, Ghazipur, Hardoi, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Pratapgarh, and Siddharthnagar.
According to a recent UNI report, aimed at providing better health facilities to the citizens of Uttar Pradesh, nine new medical colleges will be made functional by the end of July. All these medical colleges will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 30, in the Siddharthnagar district.
In view of the proposed programme of PM, State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday asked the administration to complete all necessary arrangements on time. It will be a historic occasion for the state when all the nine medical colleges in nine districts will be dedicated simultaneously.
Earlier, the state had only 12 medical colleges till 2017. But as soon as the Yogi Government came to power, the number got multiplied by four within 4 years.
