Nagaland's NIMSR begins admissions process for its first batch of 100 MBBS students

Nagaland: On August 20, the admissions process for the first batch of 100 MBBS students began at the Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (NIMSR), the state's first medical college. Admission will be held at the Academic Block of the NIMSR Campus from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until August 28, according to All India Radio (AIR) News Kohima on Sunday.
According to a recent report by Morung Express, NIMSR Director and Dean Professor Dr Soumya Chakraborty said that lessons for the first batch of MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) students would commence in the first week of September. The NIMSR was successful in filling 85 seats with candidates from Nagaland, and 15 seats with candidates from the All India Quota, he noted. On August 18, the state counselling for MBBS was held.
According to the NIMSR's prior 'Fees Structure & Checklist' for the MBBS Admission 2023-24, the cost is roughly Rs 1,39,00, including refundable deposits.
Morung Express adds the price does not cover examination, incidental, or registration fees, and there are separate monthly expenses for students who use the mess. The fees will be raised by 10% each year, according to the Checklist.
