New Delhi- The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) had started the process of refunding the security deposit for Postgraduate (PG) candidates who participated in AIQ PG counselling 2024 till the 3rd round of PG counselling. However, it has been informed through a notice that some candidates have not received the security deposit with the MCC assuring them early resolutions.

As per the notice, some candidates have not received a refund of the security deposit from the UPI process, as some bankers are facing technical challenges in processing refunds through the UPI mode and are working to resolve them.

MCC in its notice, apologized for the inconvenience caused in this regard informing that the financial custodian is working closely with the concerned banks to explore options for reprocessing the refunds. MCC further assured that the refund will be made as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the body informed that refunds will be sent to the same account / Card from which the security deposit was remitted to MCC. The refund will be credited to the candidate's account between 1 to 15 days, depending on the level of automation in the candidate's bank. If there is an in-ordinate delay in crediting the refund, the candidate should take up the matter with the "Grievance Cell" of his/her bank, quoting the refund reference.

Earlier, MCC had released the list of candidates whose Security Deposit up to the 3rd Round of PG counselling has been refunded. The list had been released in PDF format. It includes important information such as Roll No, Refund Amount, Refund ARN, Refund Ref No. and Refund Date.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an organisation under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) affiliated to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and responsible for allotting seats for undergraduate, postgraduate and super-speciality medical and dental courses in government-run/aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university colleges.
