NBE gives nod to Sky Hospital for DrNB Cardiology course
Imphal: Bringing good news to the Postgraduate medical aspirants in Manipur, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has given its nod to Imphal-based Sky Hospital for running DrNB (Doctorate of National Board) course.
NBEMS, the Apex body in charge of running DNB and DrNB courses, has given its nod to the Hospital for two seats in Cardiology.
The confirmation regarding this came from the Press Release of the Hospital issued on June 30. It mentioned, "For the first time in Manipur, training leading to the award of Doctorate in Cardiology (DrNB, Doctorate of National Board) will start at SKY Hospital, Imphal West, Manipur. To this effect, National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India has granted accreditation to SKY Hospital at a communique dated 25th June, 2022. The DrNB Cardiology is equivalent to D.M. in Cardiology. The training course is for 3 years. Counselling will be started soon at the national level. The annual intake at SKY Hospital is 2 Trainees through central selection and counselling process. Minimum eligible qualification is M.D./DNB in General Internal Medicine(GIM) or equivalent from a MCl/NMC recognized Medical Institute."
