NBE Invites Applications for Fellowship Exit Exam 2023, Know Schedule, Eligibility Criteria, fee, exam scheme, all details here
New Delhi- The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has invited applications for Fellowship Exit Examination 2023. Releasing the information bulletin, the NBE has detailed the schedule, eligibility criteria, fee structure, scheme of examination and other details.
The Fellowship Exit Examination 2023, conducted by the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), is scheduled for March or April 2024. To appear in the exam, applicants must fill out the online application form for the Fellowship Exit Exam 2023 from 3 PM on March 2, 2024, till 11:55 PM on March 22, 2024.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1 Candidates who have undergone training as an FNB trainee at any of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) accredited institutes after having registered with NBEMS as an FNB trainee and are completing their prescribed (as per letter of registration issued by NBEMS) training as FNB trainee as per the following schedule can undertake the FNB Exit Examination in the same sub-specialty subject to completion of training by the date mentioned below & submission of certificate to this effect.
2 Submission of Training Completion Certificate indicating details of leave taken during FNB training for FNB trainees is an essential prerequisite. In case the candidate does not submit the training Completion certificate (as per the applicable format given in Annexure III & IV) along with the application form, his/her application shall be rejected and fees forfeited.
3 Request for extension in cutoff date for completion of training for eligibility determination for FNB Exit Examination shall not be considered.
4 Candidates who have completed their FNB training while applying for the FNB Exit Examination shall be required to submit a Final Training Completion Certificate (FTCC) as per the format prescribed.
5 Candidates whose FNB training is ongoing while applying for the FNB Exit Examination shall be required to submit a Provisional Training Completion Certificate (PTCC) as per the format in Annexure-III. The PTCC must confirm that the candidate will be able to complete his/her training by the prescribed cut-off after taking into consideration all leave taken vis-a-vis the maximum permissible leave as per NBEMS leave rules and the required period of extension, if any. Such candidates are required to submit a Final Training Completion Certificate (FTCC) as per the format immediately upon completion of their training. Such candidates shall be provisionally allowed to appear for the FNB Exit Examination subject to completion of their FNB training by the prescribed cut-off date.
6 Candidates who submit their Provisional TCC with correct leave details projecting their training completion on/before the prescribed cut-off date for the examination, happen to avail more leave after applying for the examination due to some unforeseen reasons which might take their training beyond the prescribed cut-off date, shall NOT be declared INELIGIBLE for the examination.
7 In terms of the NBEMS notice dated 26th November 2019 (published on the NBEMS website , appearance in the minimum required numbers of Formative Assessment Tests (FATs) during the FNB training shall be mandatory towards eligibility for appearing in FNB Exit Examinations. This compulsory participation in FATs shall apply to candidates who have joined their training in or after the July 2019 admission session.
EXAMINATION FEE
The examination fee for the Fellowship Exit Examination for the 2023 session is Rs.5250/-. Application forms once submitted cannot be withdrawn. Any claim for refund, adjustment or carrying forward of the Application fee will not be entertained after the successful submission of the application.
SCHEME OF EXAMINATION
1 The Theory examination comprises of one paper with a maximum mark of 100.
2 There are 10 short notes of 10 marks each in the Theory paper.
3 Maximum time permitted is 3 hours.
4 Maximum marks: 300.
5 Comprises of Clinical Examination and viva.
6 Request for change in centre of Examination will not be entertained, as the same is not permissible.
7 The candidate has to score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate i.e. 200 out of total 400 marks (Theory & Practical) with at least 50% marks in the theory examination to qualify in the Fellowship Exit Exam.
8 The Theory and Practical of Fellowship Exit Examination shall be conducted at the same examination centre of the concerned speciality. Each candidate shall be individually informed by NBEMS regarding his/her examination centre.
