NEET: MCC to begin security deposit refund process on June 10, Check out details

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed about the commencement of the refund process of the security deposit of all the eligible candidates who appeared for the NEET Counselling 2021.

Since the MCC is going to begin the refund process, the candidates have been advised to keep their respective bank accounts active till the procedure is completed.

As per the notice, the refunds will be initiated from June 10 and will continue for 10 days.

"It is for the information of all the candidates who have participated in the UG Counselling 2021 that the refund process of the security deposit of all the eligible candidates of the UG Counselling 2021 is going to commence from 10-06-22 and will be completed by 20-06-22 from the office of HLL which the financial custodian of MCC," the counselling body said in its notice.

'Hence, the candidate must keep their card/bank account ACTIVE till refund process is completed. If card/bank account is closed before the completion of refund, the bankers will not be able to complete the refund process. Since bankers will take long time to identify & return the failed refunds to Financial Custodian and legal formalities are to be complied for initiating refund to different bank account, refund to new bank account will take very long time. Neither Financial Custodian nor MCC will be responsible for such delay', the MCC warned the candidates.

The MCC conducted the NEET counselling for All India Quota seats/ Institutional Quota/ Domicile (internal candidates) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), (wards of ESIC insured persons) seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.
