NEET PG Counselling 2021: MCC notifies on resignation of Round 1 seats

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has notified about the resignation process for NEET PG 2021 counselling candidates who have joined Round 1 seats and now want to resign or surrender the seat allotted to them.

The notification is pursuant to the queries being received by the MCC regarding Round-1 of PG Counselling 2021.

All the concerned candidates are hereby informed that those who join their seat of Round-1 and later want to resign same can do so till 04:00 P.M of 3rd February 2022 after which they will be considered as part of Round-2 and same rules will apply to them as applicable for Round- 2 of counselling.

Candidates are advised to ensure that their Resignation Letter is generated online (through the portal provided by MCC ) by the allotted college, failing which the resignation will be treated as ' 'Null & Void and candidate will be deemed to be occupy the seat still, and rules of Round-2 will apply. Any letter other than Resignation Letter generated through the online portal will not be considered as 'Resignation Letter, stated the notification released on the official website of the MCC.

In case, the candidate gives consent for up-gradation in Round-2 but is not upgraded she/he cannot resign the seat allotted in Round-2 and will have to retain the seat. In such a case rules of Round-2 will apply since the candidate has exercised choices and participated in Round-2. There is no option of resignation if the candidate is not upgraded in Round-2, the MCC said.

Hence, candidates who desire to resin their seat at Round-1 should do so before Round-2 i.e by 04:00 P.M of 3rd February 2022.
