NEET PG Counselling 2021: MCC revises Choice filling timeline, Details

New Delhi : Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under DGHS, has informed about the revision in the choice filling facility timeline with respect to NEET PG Counselling being conducted for PG medical admissions this year.

The Choice Filling for Round-2 of PG counselling 2021 is being extended further upto 04:00 P.M of 15.02.2022 (Tuesday) as per the directions of Hon'ble High Court of Delhi in the matter of Dr. Vishal Dahiya & Ors. Vs. UoI & Ors.(W.P © No. 992 of 2022), states the MCC notification released on its official webiste.

The Choice Locking for Round-2 of PG Counselling will start from 06:00 P.M of 14.02.2022 and will be available upto 04:00 P.M of 15.02.2022. Earlier, the Choice Locking for Round-2 was scheduled to start from 05:00 P.M of 13.02.2022 and be available upto 11:00 A.M of 14.02.2022.

In view of above, Candidates may note following points:

1. Candidates who want to edit their choices can log in to their account, give consent for unlocking their choices and fill their choices again or edit/ modify them.

2. Candidates who do not want to edit their locked choices need not do anything. Their earlier exercised choices will be valid for seat processing as such, for Round-1. 

Ealier, the counselling body released the seat matrix for Round 2 session as per which there are a total of 11,629 MD, MS, PG Diploma and DNB seats available for NEET PG Counselling candidates participating in the Round 2 session being conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee, MCC under DGHS.

According to the Round 2 seat matrix for MCC NEET PG Counselling 2021 for candidates seeking PG medical admissions under AIQ quota this year, the maximum seats are 900 in MD Anaesthesiology followed by MD General Medicine with 723 and General Surgery with 650 seats. MD, MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology has 606 seats for Round 2 candidates. MD Pathology has 577, MD Paediatrics has 489 seats. For the second round, 457 seats are left for MD Orthopaedics aspirants, 406 for MS Ophthalmology, 400 for DNB General medicine and 384 for MD Microbiology.
