11,629 MD, MS, PG Diploma, DNB seats up for grabs in MCC NEET PG Counselling Round 2, Check out seat matrix
New Delhi: There are a total of 11,629 MD, MS, PG Diploma and DNB seats available for NEET PG Counselling candidates participating in the Round 2 session being conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee, MCC under DGHS.
The confirmation of this aggregate comes from the recently released Round 2 seat matrix on the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) indicating the number of MD, MS DNB and PG Diploma seats being offered for the second round of NEET PG Counselling as per the categories available in medical institutes across the country.
MCC has started the NEET PG counselling registration of round two at mcc.nic.in NEET PG Counselling 2021 round 2 choice filling and locking would end on February 11, 2022. This will be followed by the seat allotment process from February 13 to 14, 2022. The result will be declared on February 15 2022, The candidates will be able to report at their allotted medical colleges from February 16 to 22, 2022.
The last date of joining after the completion of overall counselling procedures including stray vacancy round is 16th March 2022 for AIQ seats and 10th March 2022 for state counselling candidates.
Top 10 Specialities
According to the Round 2 seat matrix for MCC NEET PG Counselling 2021 for candidates seeking PG medical admissions under AIQ quota this year, the maximum seats are 900 in MD Anaesthesiology followed by MD General Medicine with 723 and General Surgery with 650 seats.
MD, MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology has 606 seats for Round 2 candidates. MD Pathology has 577, MD Paediatrics has 489 seats.
For the second round, 457 seats are left for MD Orthopaedics aspirants, 406 for MS Ophthalmology, 400 for DNB General medicine and 384 for MD Microbiology.
