Instructions -

Candidate must ensure that mobile numbers, E-mail addresses filled in the online Application form are his/her own as University will communicate by SMS or mail on the given mobile number and mailing ID only.

The fee can be remitted to the University account through a payment gateway available on the university website. The fee shall not be accepted in any other mode. Candidates not depositing the requisite application fee will not be considered for PPMET-2023/admissions.

Sports Category Candidates will submit printed/hard copies of the online submitted form personally (by hand) in the University up to the stipulated date/time along with the Sports Gradation Certificate issued by the Director, Sports, Punjab, and other supporting self-attested copies of certificates/documents.

After filling out the online application form by, the candidate, University will issue a Unique Registration Id. Registration id (i.e. Login Id) and password will be provided to the candidate at his/her registered Mobile Number through SMS and email.

All application forms will be locked automatically after the cutoff date is over. Once the Application form is locked, it can’t be unlocked by the applicant. Therefore, be ensured that you have entered the correct data, particularly checking your Name, date of Birth, categories,10+2 marks, etc., before the application form is locked.

Notwithstanding the participation of candidates in PPMET-2023, only eligible candidates, as per Government notification/s, shall be considered for admission.

Admit cards will be issued against those Registration IDs against which the Registration Id application fee has been remitted within a stipulated date and time.

Those candidates who do not fill/claim any category code as per the prospectus or fill in a wrong category code other than mentioned in the prospectus will be treated in Open merit.

All choices filled in the first round will be treated as null and void. Only fresh choices will be considered in 2nd round of online counseling. Those candidates who are satisfied with his/her 1st round of allotment and join the college need not submit preferences in subsequent counseling & will retain the first round of seats.

Candidates who want to shift/upgrade seats in another college or who have not filled preferences during 1st round of counseling will submit online preferences of colleges/categories through the University website www.bfuhs.ac.in during the 2nd online counseling.

The allotment in the counseling will be provisional and subject to verification of original documents/checking of eligibility by the Principal of the concerned Nursing College at the time of joining/reporting. It is the sole responsibility of the Principal to authenticate the eligibility of the allocated candidate as per the Punjab Government notification/prospectus before joining/admission.

Only PPMET-qualified candidates from Punjab will be considered in the 1st round of online counseling.

Other state candidates not covered under the exemption clause will be considered in 2nd/Subsequent counseling after exhausting Punjab State candidates.

He/she has completed the age of 17 at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission.

The candidates must have been born on or before 31.12.2006.

SC category candidates are entitled to a scholarship from the Department of Welfare, Govt. of Punjab, if they fulfill their terms and conditions. SC category candidates whose family/guardians' income from all sources does not exceed Rs.250000 during the last Financial Year are entitled to post-matric scholarship as per guidelines of Govt. of India and the Punjab Govt.

Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future correspondence -

1. At least three printouts of the online submitted application form

2. Proof of fee paid

3. 3 copies of the latest identical colored Photograph with the date (taken after 01-01-2023 & should be passport size with white background) that scanned and uploaded on the Online Application form

Eligibility and qualifications –

Eligibility and qualifications will be as per Punjab Govt. Notification No. 5/7/2016-5HB-III/1583 dated 04.07.2023 and its amendments.

Eligibility/instructions for NRI candidates –

The qualified candidates who seek to apply for NRI quota seats have to obtain a provisional Eligibility/equivalency certificate from the BFUHS, Faridkot, and will have to apply in the prescribed format available on the university website along with the prescribed fee for NRI seats.

For ascertaining the eligibility, relevant documents, including foreign Country passports or Green Cards or Permanent Resident cards or Proof of Residency of a Foreign Country issued by the competent authority or OCI/PIO cards issued by the Government of India, shall be considered.

The admission under the NRI category shall be strictly according to preference category-wise merit as per Punjab Govt. notification/instructions. After selection, the candidate will be required to deposit the prescribed fee as per instructions.

Admit card –

The University will provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of PPMET–2023, along with a certificate which would be duly signed and self-attested by the candidate. Candidates are required to download the admit cards from the website and follow the instructions given therein. Admit cards will be issued only to those candidates whose application fee has been received.

PPMET – 2023 –

Scheme of test -

It shall consist of questions on the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and Nursing aptitude.

Centers for the Conduct of PPMET-2023 –

The test shall be conducted at the centers decided by the University However, the city/city center/centers for the candidates shall be displayed on Admit Card to be downloaded through the University website.

Mode of the test -

The test will be of objective type with multiple choice questions, and candidates will be provided with a sealed Question Booklet and an OMR Response Sheet. Each question will be followed by four responses marked (A), (B), (C), and (D). Of these four responses, only one will be the correct or the most appropriate response.

The candidate will write with BLACK FINE TIP BALL PEN the required information regarding Roll Number, Name, Question Booklet No., Question Booklet Set etc., on the Test/Question Booklet before opening the seal.

Candidate must write the Sr. No. And Set the Question Booklet carefully on the OMR Response sheet, the OMR Response sheet number on the question booklet, and Both the OMR Response sheet number & on the Question Booklet No. On the attendance sheet.

Negative marking –

There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. However, for security reasons fifth oval (i.e. E) has been introduced. In all un-attempted questions, the fifth oval must be darkened; otherwise, if all ovals are left blank, then that question shall carry one negative mark. Hence it is in the interest of the candidate not to leave all ovals blank in any question, and one oval has to be shaded out of the five.

Merit list –

The University will prepare a list of the applicants for admission out of the successful candidates in the order of merit based on the PPMET-2023 Rank and the provisions of the Punjab Government Notification No. 5/7/2016-5HB-III/1583 dated 04.07.2023 as amended from time to time and subsequent notifications in this regard for the purpose of allotment of seats in the different courses/institutions by personal appearance of the candidates before Selection Committee.

2ND ROUND OF ONLINE COUNSELLING

The schedule of 2nd round of online counseling will be intimated through the University website.

Counseling –

The BFUHS will conduct online counseling after declaring the result of PPMET-2023. Counseling for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Course, session 2023, will be conducted online. The schedule of online counselling including date/time/mode of counseling, will be made available on the website of the University. The candidates will submit online choices / preferences of Colleges, category etc. through university website (www.bfuhs.ac.in) as per schedule. The Seats will be allocated as per the PPMET-2023 merit/eligibility criteria as mentioned in the Punjab Government notification in order of preferences given by the candidate, therefore, candidates are advised to submit preferences/choices carefully.

After the provisional allocation of seats, candidates can download the provisional allocation letter from the University website after login to their account. They will report to the respective allotted college for medical checkup, verification/checking of original documents /eligibility as per Punjab Government notification, and joining thereafter.
