DME Assam To Conduct Offline Round 2 Counselling Process For MSc Nursing On 31st March

Assam: The Director of Medical Education (DME Assam) will conduct offline 2nd counseling to select candidates for admission into the 1st year MSc Nursing courses at Regional College of Nursing Guwahati on 31st March 2023 at 10:00 am.

1 seat under the SC category in Obst. & Gynae Nursing course at Regional College of Nursing, Guwahati, for the 2022 session is lying vacant. Accordingly, a 2nd round of offline counseling for selecting candidates for admission into the said seat will be held at the office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam. The candidates whose names appeared in the merit list of the entrance examination for the MSc Nursing course, 2022, may attend the counseling as scheduled.

The candidates note that if the seat above is not filled up due to the non-availability of SC category eligible candidates, then this seat will be converted to an un-reserved category seat, which will be filled up according to merit.

Candidates already admitted after 1st counseling and who want to change their subject as per available vacancy in order of merit may also appear in the offline 2nd counseling.

Regional College of Nursing, one of the pioneer institutes offering university-level nursing education, was established on 3rd October 1977, under the NEC scheme and direct administrative control of the Government of Assam. The College was formally inaugurated on 5th December 1977 by the then Governor of Assam & Meghalaya, His Excellency Late L. P. Singh. The vision is to establish itself as a leading and unique institution offering Quality Nursing Education and Research to prepare excellent healthcare providers and nurse leaders to transform individual and community lives.

The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, Training and Research, Assam was established in 1984 under the control of the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Assam. It promotes expertise in medical science in different streams like Allopathic, Ayurvedic, and Homoeopathic medicine and paramedical science, and health care facilities to the people of Assam through various hospitals under the Directorate. It promotes research in medical science in the state of Assam.
