Andhra Pradesh: Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences extends the date of online application submission for MSc Nursing courses.

As per the notice, the submission of online applications for admission into MSc Nursing courses under Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2022-23 in Andhra Pradesh is extended up to 6.00 pm on 1.1.2023.

Eligibility criteria –

1. Service and Non-service candidates should not have completed 45 years of age as of 31st December of the year of admission. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to SC and ST is 48 years.

2.Both women and men candidates are eligible to apply.

3.The candidate should have passed BSc (Nursing) /B.Sc., Hons (Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) from an Institution that the Indian Nursing Council recognizes with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks and 5% relaxation of marks for SC and ST candidates.

4.Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife of the Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council for Service and Non--Service candidates.

5.For service candidates - Should be a regular employees of the Government of AP/Telangana as per the para 12 of AP Education Institutes (Regulations of Admissions) order 1974 (AP Medical & Health Services and AP Vaidya Vidhana Parishad / Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad) and should have put in not less than 5 years of Service in the said Dept., in any capacity in Nursing as on 30-11-2022.

6.For Regular Candidates (Non-Service candidates) - Minimum one year of work experience after Registration of BSc (Nursing) Degree in Nursing council as of 30-11-2022 is required. That means the candidates registered in the Nursing council as of 30.11.2021 are only eligible. Those registered in the Nursing council after 30.11.2021 are not eligible as they will not complete one year of experience by 30.11.2022. Minimum one year of work experience before or after Registration of Post Basic BSc (Nursing) courses as of 30-11-2022.

The selection will make the selection of candidates from 4 committees as per the merit list. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in BSc(N)/ BSc, Hons (Nursing)/Post Basic BSc, (Nursing) group subjects (all subjects) up to two decimal places, excluding Computer sciences and English marks.
