Gujarat BSc nursing student allegedly commits suicide, probe underway
Mehsana: In a tragic incident, a 21 year old third year BSc nursing student was found dead in her hostel room at Merchant Nursing College in Gujarat's Mehsana district.
The deceased, identified as a resident from Valsad, was found hanging, and a note recovered from the room indicated she was “fed up with life” and had lost hope. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Speaking to the PTI, the police officials informed, "A 21-year-old female student of a nursing college allegedly died by suicide in her hostel room in Gujarat's Mehsana district. The student was found hanging in her room and a “suicide note” found there said she was “fed up with her life”."
“The deceased has been identified as ***, who was found hanging inside her hostel room of Merchant Nursing College,” police inspector D R Rao said.

The student, who originally hailed from Valsad, was studying in third year of BSc nursing course, he said.
Her suicide note said she was fed up of her life, had no hopes and wants to end her life, the official said, adding that a probe was underway.

The police investigating the case stated that the exact cause behind her death will be known after receiving the postmortem report. They are investigating all angles, including foul play.
The incident took place on Friday when she was found hanging in her hostel room. Following this, the college authorities alerted the police immediately. After reaching the spot, the police discovered the body in suspicious circumstances.
