KEA Informs About Offline Document Verification For Eligible Candidates For MSc Nursing Courses

Karnataka: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) informed about offline document verification and seat allotment process for eligible MSc Nursing rank holders in MSc Nursing courses.

Per the notice, the offline verification will be conducted on 27-12-2022 from 9.00 am onwards at Sri Atal Bihari Vajapeye Medical College, Lady Curzon Road, Bangalore.

Candidates must attend document verification with all the necessary original documents and two Xerox copies. They must bring a demand draft for Rs.500 in the name of Executive Director, KEA, Payable at Bangalore for seat allotment. The tuition fee has to be paid at the college during admission.

The seat allotment will be carried on 30-12-2022 from 10.30 am onwards at KEA, 18th Cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore.

The candidate who becomes eligible after verification will be allowed to select the available seat in the order of merit. Seat allotment will commence from 10.30 am onwards. After allotting seats, candidates must collect the admission order and report to the allotted college on or before 02-01-2023 with all the original documents.

Eligibility –

1.Candidate should be a citizen of India.

2.Candidate should have passed B.Sc Nursing (Basic) or BSc Hons. Nursing or Post Basic BSc in Nursing degree or Post Certificate BSc Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka (RGUHS), or any other University located in Karnataka state, accepted as equivalent by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. Indian Nursing Council should have recognized the institution. SC/ST candidates should have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

3.Minimum of one year of experience after obtaining a BSc in Nursing (Basic) in a Hospital or Nursing educational Institution or Community Health setting (completed or completed on or before the Date of Counselling. For candidates with Post certificate BSc Nursing / Post Basic BSc in Nursing Degree, no such experience is needed after graduation.

4.Candidate should have registered in State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Midwife.

Karnataka Examinations Authority is governed by the Governing Council headed by the Honourable Minister of Higher Education. The Government of Karnataka established Common Entrance Test Cell in 1994 for conducting entrance tests and determining the eligibility/merit for admission to the first year or first semester of full-time professional courses for the Government's share of seats.
