Anatomy Professor Dr Anthony Sylvian D'Souza appointed dean of the Father Muller College of Allied Health Sciences
Mangalore: Anatomy Professor Doctor Anthony Sylvian D'Souza has been appointed as the dean of the Father Muller College of Allied Health Sciences (FMCOAHS). Before taking over his position, he was serving as the Dean & Professor of Anatomy of DM Wayanad Institute of Medical Sciences where he served from September 25, 2017, to May 8, 2020.
He completed his MBBS and M.S in anatomy from Kasturba Medical College, Mysore University, thereafter starting his medical career as the assistant professor of the same college and subsequently rising up to the rank of the head of Anatomy at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. Moreover, he was also appointed as the Associate Dean & Professor of Anatomy at Kasturba Medical College later.
The Father Muller College of Allied Health Sciences came into existence as a separate body from the Father Muller Medical College (FMMC) on June 1, 2020, according to the rules of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) of Bengaluru. The college will be offering courses like Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), Master of Physiotherapy (MPT), and B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Medical Imaging Technology (MIT), Radiotherapy Technology (RT), Operation Theatre Technology (OTT), and Anaesthesia Technology (AT), Renal Dialysis Technology (RDT) .M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology and Radiation Physics and Masters in Hospital Administration.
