BFUHS Begins Online Registration Process For Para Medical Courses, Apply Till 26th Oct

Faridkot: Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has invited online applications for For Admission to Certificate, Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Courses of Medical and Paramedical Sciences- 2023 session, at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot. Duly filled application form alongwith requisite fee+ 18% GST and documents must reach up to 18.10.2023 by 5 P.m. at Principal Office , GGS Medical College, Faridkot. Counselling will be held on 26.10.2023 from 9.30 am onwards at Principal Office GGS Medical College, Faridkot Reporting time for the counselling is till 9.30 am on  26.10.2023. 

Important Dates : 

Note-1: CBSE (Counsel of Boards of School Education in India) grants membership to boards/Institutions that are set up by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature or by an Executive orders of the Central/State Government and broadly follow the National Curriculum Framework/CBSE. Therefore, candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from member-boards of CBSE are acceptable for admissions. A complete list of member-Boards of CBSE can be download from www.cobse.org. Boards not in the list of member –Boards of CBSE shall not be acceptable for admissions. The Board of Management in its meeting held on 21.08.2013 vide para no. 28 resolved that the list of Boards recognized by CBSE shall be considered for admission to higher courses run by the University.

Note-2: Candidate shall mandatorily send the requisite documents of 10th ,10+2 DMC if required and Punjab bonafied resident certificate

Note-3: The Provisional selection/allotment of seat in the counselling will be subject to verification of the original documents/checking of eligibility by the Principal of the concerned college. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Principal to authenticate the eligibility of the allocated candidate before admitting the candidate to allotted course.

Note-4: Candidates who are not bonafide resident of Punjab shall be considered during 2nd Round of Counselling after exhausting Bonafide Residents of Punjab.

Note: No separate intimation regarding subsequent counselling(s) will be announced. If any change in the schedule, it will be intimated through University website

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS 

The Prospectus comprising Admission Application Form will be available on the University website

Candidates must strictly follow the instructions laid out in the Prospectus and University website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be disqualified.

This prospectus is subject to alteration(s) / modification(s) at any time without notice. Please visit University website from time to time. Admissions including Eligibility to Para Medical Courses (Certificate/Diploma/PG Diploma/PG) shall be governed and regulated as per the rules and regulations etc, as per BFUHS norms.

Instructions in this prospectus are liable to change based on decision(s) taken by the Board of Management of this University from time to time. There is no equity or any rights that are/or deemed to be arising in favour of candidate.

The candidate should read the eligibility condition carefully. Mere submission of application for admission/counseling does not entitle him/her for admission. Eligibility conditions for admissions are specified clearly. The eligibility shall be determined by the Selection Committee/Principal of concerned college at the time of counseling/admission. Those who are not eligible as per eligibility criteria mentioned in the Prospectus will not be considered for admission. Eligibility is also subject to medical fitness.

Candidate’s eligibility is purely provisional & subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria as per norms incorporated in this prospectus.

Applications of candidates producing false or fabricated information shall not be considered and candidates shall be further debarred from participating in any future counseling to be conducted by BFUHS, Faridkot.

Any attempt by a candidate to influence directly or indirectly any person concerned with the admission process will lead to disqualification of the candidate.

Seat matrix process shall be available on the university website at the time of filling options/preferences College/Quota/Category for online counseling.

Allocation of seat is provisional subject to verification of original documents/checking of eligibility by the Principal of concerned Colleges. It is sole responsibility of the Principal to authenticate the eligibility of the provisionally allocated candidates before their joining/admission.

The fee structure of concerned college will be as notified in the Prospectus. If there would be any subsequent amendment for change in fee structure, the same will be applicable in letter and spirit.

In case of any discrepancy or contradiction in academic matters the University shall be the final Authority.

Deposition of fee does not confirm the admission of the candidate, if it is challenged in the Hon'ble Court.

Changes, if any, in the Schedule / Counseling etc. shall be notified only through website of the University 

The allotment of College to the applicants for admission shall be made as per merit determined on the basis of inter-se-merit as notified in the Prospectus and the choice of the station opted by the candidate at the time of counseling.

This is for the information of all candidates that as per Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, if any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if his explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel him/her from the institution.

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme:

SC category candidates are entitled for scholarship from the Department of Welfare, Govt. of Punjab if they fulfill their terms and conditions. SC category candidates, whose family annual income from all sources is less than Rs. 2.5 lacs, are entitled for post matric scholarship as per guidelines of Govt. of India and Punjab Govt. The candidates will have to submit Freeship Card alongwith admission application from. Application Fee

a) The following Admission Application Fee including GST @18% will be accepted only in the shape of Demand Draft fvg. Registrar, BFUHS, Faridkot payable at Faridkot.

b) Admission Application Fee will not be accepted in any form after due date/time in any case.

c) Only those Admission Application Forms will be considered for counseling, fee for which has been deposited by due date/time.

d) No request for accepting the Admission Application Forms after due date/time will be entertained.

e) Mere deposition of fee will not entitle the candidate for claim of admission.

f) Fee once deposited in University Account will not be refunded/ adjusted in any case.

All necessary information regarding allocation of merit and seeking admission to Certificate, Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Paramedical courses in the University Centre of Excellence in Research, GGS Medical College and University Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and all applicable rules and regulations, etc., are contained in this booklet called PROSPECTUS (available on the University Website) for admission to Paramedical courses. This Prospectus is subject to alteration(s) or modification(s) at any time without notice.

Application forms may be downloaded from the official website www.bfuhs.ac.in and the forms complete in all aspects, may be submitted to Principal, Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot. Application form received after 26.10.2023 for any reason including postal delays will be rejected. The University will not be  responsible for any delay or loss in transit caused by Postal Dept. /Courier Services or anyone else.

Not withstanding the participation of candidates in counselling, only eligible candidates, as notified, shall be considered for admission.

Candidates applying under any of the reserve category are directed to fill the right category code mentioned in this prospectus for claiming reservation under a category and also bring/attach all relevant documents/proof of respective category with admission application form and photocopies and original documents at the time of counseling/admission.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:

1. The admission to Para Medical (Certificate/Diploma/PG Diploma/PG) Courses shall be open to candidates who have qualified this minimum eligibility criteria notified in the Prospectus.

2. Merely applying for admission on the basis of fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria will not entitle the Candidates eligibility. A Merit of a candidate for admission will be determined by the Admission Committee strictly as per rules and regulations laid down by BFUHS as published in this prospectus.

3. Counseling/Admissions shall be conducted by the Admission Committee constituted by the Principal, GGS Medical College, Faridkot for this purpose.

4. Age: As specified in the minimum eligibility criteria required for admission.

The Process of Admission to Para Medical Courses (Certificate/Diploma/PG Diploma &M.Sc)

Step-I SUBMISSION OF HARD COPY OF ADMISSION APPLICATION FORM AT PRINCIPALOFFICE, GGS MEDICAL COLLEGE, FARIDKOT ALONGWITH THE FOLLOWING SELFATTESTED DOCUMENTS

• Passport size colour photograph(self-signed) of the candidate is to be affixed on the Admission Application Form.

• Matric or equivalent certificate for Date of Birth.

• 10+1 and 10+2 Detail Marks Card.

• Detail Marks card of Graduation or any other qualifying exam as the case may be

• Degree of Graduation or any other qualifying examination as the case may be

• Migration Certificate.

• Character certificate from Institution last attended.

• Punjab Residence Certificate.

• Reserved Category Certificate to be issued from the Competent Authority as given in Prospectus.

• Undertaking by the candidate for Gap year in original, if any.

• Undertaking from parent/Guardian (Compulsory).

• Photocopy of Adhar Card of candidate, of candidate’s mother and of candidate’s father.

• Bank Demand Draft in Original.

Step-II DEPOSITION OF ADMISSION APPLICATION ALONG WITH APPLICATION FEE ONLY IN

THE SHAPE OF DEMAND DRAFT FAVOURING REGISTRAR, BFUHS, FARIDKOT, PAYABLE AT FARIDKOT

Step-III PROVISIONAL MERIT LIST WILL BE DISPLAYED ON THE COUNSELING VENUE BEFORE START OF PHYSICAL ROUND OF COUNSELING.

Document verification

• Provisional allotment by the admission committee after determining the fulfilment of eligibility criteria by the aspirant

• Reporting of the candidate in the provisionally allotted college upto the stipulated last date & time fixed by the Admission Committee during Counselling.

Step-V SUBMISSION OF TUITION FEE AT THE TIME OF COUNSELING VENUE

• It is mandatory that the candidate has to deposit the tuition fee as prescribed in the prospectus only in the shape of demand draft favouring registrar, BFUHS, Faridkot, payable at Faridkot, failing which admission will not be made. 

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

4. The reservation of seats shall be as per the policy of the Government of Punjab.

5. The eligibility for admission of the candidates shall be determined by the Admission Committee at the time of counselling.

6. Admission Application Fee should only be paid in the shape of demand Draft drawn favouring “Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, payable at Faridkot along with Demand Draft.

7. Admission Application Fee once deposited will not be refunded/ adjusted in any case.

8. All necessary information regarding allocation of merit and seeking admission at UIPMS Faridkot and all applicable rules and regulations etc are contained in this booklet called PROSPECTUS, for admission. The provisional selection/ allotment of seat in the counselling will be subject to verification of the original documents/checking of eligibility by the Principal, Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot. 10. The candidates who are not bonafide residents of Punjab will be considered during 2nd

14. The fee structure will be as per university regulations. if University issues any subsequent amendment/ corrigendum for change in fee structure, the same will be applicable in letter and sprit.

15. In all academic matters, the University is the final authority.Deposition of fee does not confirm the admission of the candidate if it is challenged in the Hon’ble Court.

16. Students claiming benefits of reservation under SC/ BC category shall be required shall be required to produce a certificate from the competent authority as per latest instructions of Govt. of Punjab. Further a valid backwards certificate must be produced as per the latest instructions of department of welfare. Government of Punjab. in which the annual income of the family is clearly mentioned. 

17. A candidate applying under reserve category is directed to fill the right category code mentioned in the prospectus for claiming reservation under respective category he/she belongs to and also attach the relevant document/Proof of respective category with the Admission Application Form.

18. The candidates have to bring all the original documents and their photocopies at the time of counselling for admission.

19. The seats remaining vacant under any reserve category shall be transferred to General Category during subsequent round of counselling.

20. The personal appearance of candidate is essential at the time of counselling. He/ She has to produce all documents/testimonials in original for verification by the selection committee, failing which he she will not be considered for admission during the Counselling.

21. The eligibility for admission of the candidates shall be determined by the selection Committee at the time of counselling.

22. On Provisional Selection during the counselling, the candidates have to report to the Principal of concerned college upto the last date fixed for submission of joining after checking of eligibility and verification of original documents followed by the Medical checkup.

23. Before the completion of admission process, if any candidate desires to surrender the seat, he/she may surrender the seat to the Principal of concerned college.

24. The candidate can surrender the seat before the start of subsequent round of counselling.

25. Hostel facility is not available

26. The student will have to pay the Tuition Fee for all remaining years (as per duration of course), if he/she leaves the course/vacates the seat in midstream i.e. after the last/cut-off date of admission. The last /cut-off date for admission for the said courses is 30.11.2022.

ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATION:

i) Inter-se-merit: In case of two or more candidates having equal marks then there inter-se merit will be determined as under:-

a. Candidates having higher marks in English in 10+2

b. Candidate older in age

• DIPLOMA COURSES 

i) AGE: A person who attains the age of 17 years or more as on 31st of December of corresponding year of admission.

ii) Inter-se-merit: In case of two or more candidates having equal marks then there inter-se merit will be determined as under:-

a. Candidates having higher marks in the subject of Biology in 10+2

b. Candidate older in age

b. Examination Fee-as fixed by the University (to be paid by the student along with examination form at the time of appearing in the examination (annual/supplementary) 

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA COURSES

1) Inter-se-merit  :In case of two or more candidates having equal marks then there inter-se merit will be determined as under:-

a. Candidate older in age.

Note:-The other fee/charges to be payable is as under:

a. Registration Fee-as fixed by the University (to be paid by the student for registration with the University)

b. Examination Fee-as fixed by the University (to be paid by the student along with examination form at the time of appearing in the examination (annual/supplementary)

c. The Fee for thesis shall be payable by the students as applicable.

RESERVATION:The reservation will be made as per Reservation Policy of Govt. of Punjab.

SELECTION COMMITTEE:

1. The selection committee is constituted for conducting the counseling and finalizing the admissions by Registrar, BFUHS, Faridkot.

COUNSELLING PROCEDURE:

i. The candidate has to appear personally to attend the physical round of counseling.

ii. The candidate has to mark attendance.

iii. The candidate has to produce original documents for verification of documents/credentials and appear before the Admission Committee.

iv. The reserved category candidates selected shall have the right to be selected in the General category as per his / her merit. The reserve category candidates selected in the General category shall not be counted towards reserve category.

v. The seat will be allocated, if available on his/her merit.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION:

i. The Provisionally selected candidates will report to the Principal of their respective College for medical examination by the medical board constituted by the college.

ii. Selected physically handicapped candidate (if a seat reserved as per reservation policy of Govt. of Punjab) will also have to appear before the Medical Board for assessment whether he/she is fit to carry out the duties despite being handicapped. The decision of the Medical Board of Guru Gobind Singh Medical College & Hospital, Faridkot, will be final.

FEE STRUCTURE

Note 1 The fee will be payable on annual basis in advance and for reserve category fee, as per Punjab Govt. policy.

Note 2 The Provisionally Selected candidates have to deposit the fee in the shape of the Demand Draft favouring, Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, payable at Faridkot, which will be deposited at the counselling venue.

Note 3 The fee deposited shall not be refundable in any case.

Note 4 The fee structure is subject to change as per requirements of the year of admission. Each and every student has to furnish an undertaking to the effect to deposit the enhanced fee as per revised rates fixed by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot from time to time keeping in view the year of admission.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

(a) The students shall pay the fees and other charges, for all types of seats, as per the rates of fees and other charges fixed by the University from time to time.

(b) The Final distribution of seats will be displayed before starting the counselling.

(c) For any dispute arising out of this prospectus or of the admissions, the jurisdiction shall be Faridkot only.

(d) Number of seats may be increased or decreased by the University and final category wise seats will be calculated and displayed at the time of venue counselling.
