BFUHS invites applications for PG Diploma, Degree in Paramedical Courses 2024, all details here

Note-1: COBSE (Counsel of Boards of School Education in India) grants membership to boards/Institutions that are set up by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature or by an Executive orders of the Central/State Government and broadly follow the National Curriculum Framework/CBSE. Therefore, candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from member-boards of COBSE are acceptable for admissions. A complete list of member-Boards of COBSE can be download from www.cobse.org. Boards not in the list of member –Boards of COBSE shall not be acceptable for admissions. The Board of Management in its meeting held on 21.08.2013 vide para no. 28 resolved that the list of Boards recognized by COBSE shall be considered for admission to higher courses run by the University.

Note-2: Candidate shall mandatorily send the requisite documents of 10^th,10+2 DMC if required and Punjab bonafied resident certificate

Note-3: The Provisional selection/allotment of seat in the counselling will be subject to verification of the original documents/checking of eligibility by the Principal of the concerned college. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Principal to authenticate the eligibility of the allocated candidate before admitting the candidate to allotted course.

Note-4: Candidates who are not bonafide resident of Punjab shall be considered during 2^nd Round of Counselling after exhausting Bonafide Residents of Punjab.

Note: No separate intimation regarding subsequent counselling(s) will be announced. If any change in the schedule, it will be intimated through University website.

Application Fee

• a)The following Admission Application Fee including GST @18% will be accepted only in the shape of Demand Draft fvg. Registrar, BFUHS, Faridkot payable at Faridkot. 

• b)Admission Application Fee will not be accepted in any form after due date/time in any case.

• c)Only those Admission Application Forms will be considered for counselling, fee for which has been deposited by due date/time.

• d)No request for accepting the Admission Application Forms after due date/time will be entertained.

• e)Mere deposition of fee will not entitle the candidate for claim of admission.
• f)Fee once deposited in University Account will not be refunded/ adjusted in any case.

• All necessary information regarding allocation of merit and seeking admission to Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Paramedical courses in the University Centre of Excellence in Research, 11 GGS Medical College and University Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and all applicable rules and regulations, etc., are contained in this booklet called PROSPECTUS (available on the University Website) for admission to Paramedical courses. This Prospectus is subject to alteration(s) or modification(s) at any time without notice.

• Application forms may be downloaded from the official website www.bfuhs.ac.in and the forms complete in all aspects, may be submitted to Principal, Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot. Application form received after 28.08.2024 for any reason including postal delays will be rejected. The University will not be responsible for any delay or loss in transit caused by Postal Dept. /Courier Services or anyone else.

• Notwithstanding the participation of candidates in counselling, only eligible candidates, as notified, shall be considered for admission.

• Candidates applying under any of the reserve category are directed to fill the right category code mentioned in this prospectus for claiming reservation under a category and also bring/attach all relevant documents/proof of respective category with admission application form and photocopies and original documents at the time of counselling/admission.

The Process of Admission to Para Medical Courses (PG Diploma &M.Sc)

Step-I Submission of Hard Copy of Admission Application Form at Principal office, GGS MEDICAL COLLEGE, FARIDKOT along with the Following Self Attested Documents

• Passport size colour photograph (self-signed) of the candidate is to be affixed on the Admission Application Form.

• Matric or equivalent certificate for Date of Birth.

• 10+1 and 10+2 Detail Marks Card.

• Detail Marks card of Graduation or any other qualifying exam as the case may be • Degree of Graduation or any other qualifying examination as the case may be

• Migration Certificate.

• Character certificate from Institution last attended.

• Punjab Residence Certificate.

• Reserved Category Certificate to be issued from the Competent Authority as given in Prospectus.

• Undertaking by the candidate for Gap year in original, if any.

• Undertaking from parent/Guardian (Compulsory).

• Photocopy of Adhar Card of candidate, of candidate’s mother and of candidate’s father.

• Bank Demand Draft in Original.

Step-II: Deposition of Admission Application along with Application Fee Only in the shape of Demand Draft Favouring Registrar, BFUHS, FARIDKOT, Payable at FARIDKOT

Step-III: Provisional Merit List will be Displayed on the Counselling Venue before Start of Physical Round of Counselling.

Step-IV: Physical Round of Counselling as per Schedule (10.09.2024)

Document verification

• Provisional allotment by the admission committee after determining the fulfilment of eligibility criteria by the aspirant

• Reporting of the candidate in the provisionally allotted college upto the stipulated last date & time fixed by the Admission Committee during Counselling.

Step-V: Submission of Tuition Fee at the time of Counselling Venue:

• It is mandatory that the candidate has to deposit the tuition fee as prescribed in the prospectus only in the shape of demand draft favouring registrar, BFUHS, Faridkot, payable at Faridkot, failing which admission will not be made.

Important Instructions

1. Before applying, candidate should carefully read the PROSPECTUS for eligibility conditions and other General Conditions/instructions issued by the University.

2. The counselling date is 10.09.2024.

3. The Admission Application form can also be downloaded from the University website

4. The reservation of seats shall be as per the policy of the Government of Punjab.

5. The eligibility for admission of the candidates shall be determined by the Admission Committee at the time of counselling.

6. Admission Application Fee should only be paid in the shape of demand Draft drawn favouring “Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, payable at Faridkot along with Demand Draft.

7. Admission Application Fee once deposited will not be refunded/ adjusted in any case.

8. All necessary information regarding allocation of merit and seeking admission at UIPMS Faridkot and all applicable rules and regulations etc are contained in this booklet called PROSPECTUS, for admission. This Prospectus is subject to alterations(s) or modifications(s)at any time without prior notice.

9. The provisional selection/ allotment of seat in the counselling will be subject to verification of the original documents/checking of eligibility by the Principal, Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Principal to authenticate the eligibility of provisionally selected candidate before admitting the candidate to concerned course.

10. The candidates who are not bonafide residents of Punjab will be considered during 2nd round of counselling after exhausting Bonafide residents of Punjab/other state candidates (as the case may be).

11. Instructions in this Prospectus are liable to change based on decision(s) taken by the University from time to time. There is no equity or any right that are/ or deemed to be arising in favour of candidate.

12. The candidate should read the eligibility conditions carefully. Mere submission of application form or appearing in the counselling does not entitle him/ her for admission. His/her eligibility will be verified by the Admission Committee/Principal at the time of Counselling& College.Those who are not eligible will not be considered for admission. Eligibility is also subject to the medical fitness and such criteria as may be prescribed by the University/ Medical College.

13. Any attempt by the candidate to influence directly or indirectly any person concerned with the admission process will lead to disqualification of the candidate.

14. The fee structure will be as per university regulations. if University issues any subsequent amendment/ corrigendum for change in fee structure, the same will be applicable in letter and sprit.

15. In all academic matters, the University is the final authority.Deposition of fee does not confirm the admission of the candidate if it is challenged in the Hon’ble Court.

16. Students claiming benefits of reservation under SC/ BC category shall be required shall be required to produce a certificate from the competent authority as per latest instructions of Govt. of Punjab. Further a valid backwards certificate must be produced as per the latest instructions of department of welfare. Government of Punjab. In which the annual income of the family is clearly mentioned.

17. A candidate applying under reserve category is directed to fill the right category code mentioned in the prospectus for claiming reservation under respective category he/she belongs to and also attach the relevant document/Proof of respective category with the Admission Application Form.

18. The candidates have to bring all the original documents and their photocopies at the time of counselling for admission.

19. The seats remaining vacant under any reserve category shall be transferred to General Category during subsequent round of counselling.

20. The personal appearance of candidate is essential at the time of counselling. He/ She has to produce all documents/testimonials in original for verification by the selection committee, failing which he she will not be considered for admission during the Counselling.

21. The eligibility for admission of the candidates shall be determined by the selection Committee at the time of counselling.

22. On Provisional Selection during the counselling, the candidates have to report to the Principal of concerned college up to the last date fixed for submission of joining after checking of eligibility and verification of original documents followed by the Medical checkup.

23. Before the completion of admission process, if any candidate desires to surrender the seat, he/she may surrender the seat to the Principal of concerned college.

24. The candidate can surrender the seat before the start of subsequent round of counselling.

25. Hostel facility is not available

26. The student will have to pay the Tuition Fee for all remaining years (as per duration of course) if he/she leaves the course/vacates the seat in midstream i.e. after the last/cut-off date of admission. The last /cut-off date for admission for the said courses is 30.11.2024. Counselling Procedure:

• The candidate has to appear personally to attend the physical round of counselling.
• The candidate has to mark attendance.
• The candidate has to produce original documents for verification of documents/credentials and appear before the Admission Committee.
• The reserved category candidates selected shall have the right to be selected in the General category as per his / her merit. The reserve category candidates selected in the General category shall not be counted towards reserve category. v. The seat will be allocated, if available on his/her merit.
