TN Health Issues Clarification on eligibility for NEET PG, MDS candidates, check out details

Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Health (TN Health) has issued clarification related to eligibility regarding the place of study of the MBBS/BDS course for clauses 5 b & c of the government MD/MS prospectus and government MDS prospectus.

As per the notice, Candidates who are claiming to be native of Tamil Nadu and undergone MBBS/BDS course including internship period either in the state of Tamil Nadu or outside Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply for Government quota PG seats along with Nativity certificate in Government and Self Financing institutions.

Candidates who are native of other states and undergone MBBS/BDS Course including internship period in the state of Tamil Nadu are eligible only for open category of Government quota PG seats in Government and Self Financing institutions.

The PG medical and dental online application process has already begun. The last date for online application submission is 13.7.2023, up to 5:00 pm. The PG medical admissions are based on NEET PG, and PG dental on NEET MDS. Both exams are conducted once a year by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).

For PG medical and dental courses, the candidates will have to pay the application fee of Rs 3000 (non-refundable). Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar) / Scheduled Tribe candidates of Tamil Nadu native are exempted from payment of the cost of online applying.
