Hyderabad: The 13 vacant posts of senior faculty members at the Government Medical College and Government General Hospital in Nalgonda would soon be filled as the Telangana government have begun the application process for the same on Thursday.  

The Director of Medical Education (DME) released the notification for the posts of Professors, Associate Professors and Associate Professors for various specialties on a contract basis.

Professors are needed in the field of community medicine, microbiology and physiology. Associate professors are required in the field of Anatomy, physiology, forensic medicine and two in community medicine. The posts of assistant professors are vacant in the field of physiology, microbiology, DVL (Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy), TB and CD and radiology. 

The applications have to be submitted to the Principal of Government Medical College in Nalgonda by 19th September, after which the interviews would be scheduled for 22nd September at the District Collector office in Nalgonda from 9 am to 3 pm.  

The salary for the professor will be Rs 1,95,000, and that of the associate professor will be Rs 1,50,000. The assistant professor remuneration is Rs 1,25,000 per month. The applications can be downloaded from the website of GMC Nalgonda, reports Telangana Today.   

Government Medical College Nalgonda is a full-fledged tertiary Medical college in Nalgonda, Telangana, which was set up in 2019. It is affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, and is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). 

The college offers courses in various field of medical science including medical, paramedical, nursing, pharmacy and physiotherapy.  

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about the virtual inauguration of eight new medical colleges by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao from Hyderabad on September 15.
