2-year-old dies of Burn Injuries: 3 doctors, 2 nurses of Private Hospital booked for alleged negligence

Pune: Three doctors and two nurses have been charged with alleged medical negligence after the death of a two-year-old boy during treatment at a private hospital in Chikhli. The charges followed a report from a panel of medical experts, which confirmed negligence in the boy's treatment.
According to the mother's statement, her son was hospitalized due to a cold and cough; however, she later found that his legs below the knee had suffered severe burns from a warmer machine after two doctors had taken samples for a test. These injuries ultimately resulted in his death.
The accused doctors have been identified as Dr Jitesh Madansingh Dobhal, Dr Rajnish Jagdamba Prasad Mishra, Dr Rohan Pranhans Mali and nurses Rachel Anil Dive and Savita Nandkishore Varwate.

According to the report provided by medical board experts from Sassoon General Hospital (SGH) and BJ Medical College (BJMC) revealed that these doctors and nursing staff were negligent in treating the boy thus holding them responsible for the fatal outcome.
