The incident came to light on Sunday night when her parents failed to get in touch with her after trying for a day before the incident, but to no avail. Worried, they contacted the landlord. The landlord went to the doctor's house to check up on her. The person forcefully entered her apartment and saw her dead body hanging from the ceiling.

Following this, the police were informed, and they sent her body to Kalamassery Medical College for postmortem and later handed it over to the family.

As per Kerala Kaumudi news report, the deceased doctor was known to be a bright student and had only a small circle of friends. Police have not yet found any note or a clear reason behind the suicide.

A case has been registered by the police in this regard, and an investigation is underway. According to reports, her final rites were held on Tuesday at Santhikavadam, Thycaud at 10 am.
