35 year old doctor dies after falling from 21st floor of Gurugram society

Gurugram: A 35-year-old woman doctor died after falling from the 21st floor of a residential society in Sector 82, Gurugram, on Monday night, reportedly while on her way to meet an acquaintance in another tower. 

The incident took place at Mapsko Casa Bella, where the doctor was living as a tenant with her husband and seven-year-old daughter. According to her family, she had left her apartment in Tower A at around 8 pm to meet someone in Tower A1. 

According to news reports, the doctor reportedly fell from the balcony area while on her way to the other tower. Security guards who noticed the incident informed the family, following which she was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Police were informed about the incident and launched an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the fall. The woman’s family members later reached Gurugram after being informed about the incident. 

Police said that there was no allegation of foul play from the family at this stage. The investigating officer said the deceased’s father and other relatives had not accused anyone in connection with the incident.

Speaking to The Tribune, investigating officer Sub-Inspector Jaswant Singh said, “The deceased’s father and other family members have not blamed anyone”.

The woman was a specialist in venereal diseases and had been residing in the society as a tenant. Her husband, a native of Rajasthan, works as a manager with an IT company in Gurugram.

Police completed the necessary formalities, including the post-mortem examination, before handing over the body to the family.

The circumstances surrounding the fall are being investigated as part of the police inquiry. No allegation against any individual has been established in connection with the incident.
