It came to light that Dr Phanindra had no comorbidities associated with the risk of heart disease. Therefore, it was heartbreaking for his family, friends and colleagues to accept his sudden death.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and determine whether cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was administered at the right time.
Dr M Raja Rao, superintendent of Gandhi Hospital, said, "His wife was about to leave for her workplace when he collapsed. It is, however, not clear if the doctor was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). He was initially taken to a private hospital in Padmaraonagar and later brought to Gandhi Hospital. He had already succumbed by then."
Speaking to TOI, a fellow PG doctor who worked with Dr Phanindra said, “His wife immediately dialled an ambulance and rushed him to a private hospital, but he had already succumbed. His body had turned bluish by then."
