Kolhapur: In a major breakthrough, Kolhapur police arrested four individuals, including an ayurvedic doctor, who was allegedly involved in more than 50 crimes, primarily related to house burglaries and the supply of marijuana.

The arrests were made following an investigation into a recent burglary in Ispurli village, where thieves stole gold jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh.

Following the investigation, the police learned that this notorious gang was led by a 46-year-old resident of the Jawahar Nagar area in Kolhapur city. During the investigation, the police managed to track him down, and he was found in possession of the stolen jewellery, which he intended to sell at Kalamba. Further interrogations revealed that he was not alone; three other accomplices were also identified. The three others included the Ayurvedic doctor and his two brothers. One of his brothers works as a scrap collector, while the other is a construction worker, both of whom accompanied him.
