Bengaluru Doctor booked for allegedly sexually harassing 19-year-old patient
Bengaluru: A Bengaluru-based doctor has been booked for allegedly sexually harassing a 19-year-old girl who had visited his clinic for consultation. The accused doctor, on the pretext of administrating IV treatment sexually harassed her and threatened her with dire consequences if she discussed the matter with anyone.
The police have formed special teams to find the doctor, who is in his late 30s and is currently absconding. Based on the girl's complaint, the Chandra Layout police registered an FIR against the doctor.
It has been reported that the incident took place when the teen went to his clinic for consultation at Arundhatinagar near Chandra Layout in west Bengaluru during September last week and October first week for stomach ache.
The teen told the police that the doctor had allegedly touched her inappropriately on the night of September 28 when she had gone with her mother for consultation. The doctor reportedly sexually harassed her on the pretext of administering IV treatment and threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about it.
