The alleged irregularity came to light after the district administration, health department and police conducted a surprise inspection at the hospital on Ghazipur Road, Zirakpur on October 14. They sealed the facility after they found out some major irregularities.

The investigators found an attendant treating patients on the pretext of a qualified doctor during the raid, reports Hindustan Times.

They also found that the restricted tramadol injections were used to treat COVID and dengue patients. Thereafter, the administration recommended an FIR to be filed against the management of the hospital and directed necessary action to the Mohali Civil surgeon.
