Doctor dies in road accident in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: In an unfortunate incident, a newlywed doctor lost his life in a road accident near Fire Station Square in Odisha's capital while on his way to Cuttack late on Saturday.
The doctor who got married three months ago was on his way to celebrate their marriage anniversary with his wife, however, he died in a road mishap.
The deceased, a native of Berhampur, was a Cancer professor at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, whereas his wife is posted at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

The incident took place at around 12.30 am after the doctor left Bhubaneswar for Cuttack on his bike to celebrate their three-month anniversary with his wife, who stayed in Cuttack. As he came near the Fire Station Square while riding his two-wheeler, an unidentified speeding vehicle hit him and he fell from his bike, injuring his entire body.
After witnessing the accident, locals rushed the doctor to a nearby hospital, but it was too late. The doctors declared him brought dead.
According to the Kalinga Tv report, the doctor married Sangita, the daughter of Kabiraj Behera, on February 28 as per the Vedic rituals in a grand way. The couple and their family members were extremely happy about their wedding. When his family and wife heard about the incident, they found it hard to believe that the doctor was no more.
A case has been registered by the Nayapalli Police, who started an investigation into the case. The police are currently investigating the CCTV footage of the accident spot to identify the vehicle.
Meanwhile, his body was sent to Capital Hospital for post-mortem and later, his mortal remains were handed over to the family members. The police are yet to determine the cause of the incident and nab the person who caused the accident.
