Doctor killed after being run over by truck in Odisha
Sambalpur: A tragic road accident at Ainthapali Chowk in Sambalpur claimed the life of a doctor who died on the spot due to excessive bleeding after being hit by a speeding truck, which ran over his head.
The doctor, a former Additional District Medical Officer identified as Bharat Chandra Das, was riding his scooter when the truck hit his vehicle, ran over him and sped away.
The incident happened around 11 AM near Madanabati School. Dr. Das was riding his scooter when the truck struck him. According to eyewitnesses, the truck hit the scooter from behind and ran over his head before fleeing the scene.

Due to the severe impact of the accident, the doctor sustained serious head injuries and died on the spot due to excessive bleeding, reports Online Sambalpur.
Locals who witnessed the accident immediately informed the police, and a team from Ainthapali Police Station reached the site. They recovered the body and sent it to the District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the police seized the truck involved in the accident, but the driver had already escaped. Therefore, the police launched an investigation in this regard. Currently, the police are trying to identify and arrest the absconding driver.

She was waiting at a traffic intersection at Bhanpur Crossing when a speeding school bus rammed into her from behind. She became trapped in the front section of the bus and was dragged for nearly 50 feet, resulting in her death on the spot.
The out-of-control school bus didn’t stop there; it went on to collide with at least half a dozen vehicles, including a car, at a traffic signal in the busy Bhanganga Square area of Bhopal. The accident left the young doctor dead and six others injured, two of whom are reported to be in critical condition.
