Dr Archana Sharma suicide case: Husband of patient, brother-in-law arrested
According to the police, the initial investigation revealed that Lalu had a formal agreement with the nursing home owners where her wife died. He had taken Rs 3 lakh as compensation for the death of his wife from them.
Jaipur: Following the suicide case of Dr. Archana Sharma, two more accused have been arrested on Thursday by the Lalsot police for abetment of suicide.
The duo includes Lalu Ram, the husband of the pregnant woman, and her brother-in-law which makes a total of 10 arrests in the case. Police have informed that more arrests will take place in the future related to the case. Earlier the police arrested the prime accused in connection with the case.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported on this incident that unable to bear the pressure of allegations of medical negligence and murder charges, Dr. Archana had committed suicide on March 29. Dr. Archana allegedly hanged herself inside a room of the hospital after the family of a patient, who died during childbirth, created a ruckus blaming her for the death of the patient and filed an FIR against the late doctor and her husband.

Kalu Ram Meena, deputy superintendent of police, Dausa told TOI, "After that, an FIR against Dr. Archana Sharma was lodged in which he implicated her for the murder case. A day after this, the female doctor committed suicide. Hence, the accused Lalu Ram along with his brother Bhoma Ram has been arrested for the abetment of suicide in this case." Prior to their imprisonment, the duo accused appeared in court.
"A whole nexus of people were into extortion from Dr. Sharma after the death of the pregnant woman in her hospital. We have so far arrested 10 persons including the husband of the deceased woman, her brother-in-law, Shiv Shankar Balya Joshi and others," added Meena.
