Dr Ram Chander appointed as Dean of RML Hospital, Dr Virendra Kumar takes charge as Director of LHMC
New Delhi: In an administrative shuffle, the centre has appointed Dr Ram Chander as the new Dean of ABVIMS and Dr RML Hospital and the charge of Director of LHMC & Associate hospital has been given to Dr Virendra Kumar.
The CHS division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare with the approval of the Competent Authority, Dr Ram Chander, Director Professor (Skin & VD) & Director, LHMC & Associate Hospitals, New Delhi is hereby transferred to ABVIMS & Dr RMLH, New Delhi and posted as Dean, ABVIMS, New Delhi with immediate effect and until further orders," reads the order.
According to the order issued by Mr Vivek Naryan, Under Secretary to the Government of India, Dr Virendra Kumar, Director Professor (Pediatrics) is appointed as Director, LHMC & Associated Hospitals, New Delhi till further orders.
Before serving as the Director of LHMC Hospital, Dr Ram Chander served as the Teaching Specialist Sub-Cadre of Central Health Service and joined the hospital as the Director professor in Skin and VD in 2008. He completed his MBBS in 1985 and MD in 1989. He replaced the former Director of LHMC hospital, Dr Aparna Agarwal, in September last year.
On the other hand, Dr Virendra Kumar is currently working in the LHMC hospital and joined as a Director Professor in Pediatrics in 2008 and completed his MBBS in 1984 and MD in 1990.
