Facing an attempt to rape FIR, AIIMS Delhi doctor hangs self in hotel room
Doctor Suicide
New Delhi: In an unfortunate incident, a senior resident doctor at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling using the bedsheet of the hotel room where he was staying in Daria, Chandigarh.
According to police, the doctor was facing a legal trouble after a female colleague filed a zero FIR against him on charges of attempted rape. They believed that the ongoing investigation and court proceedings caused him severe stress, which may have played a major role in his mental distress, leading him to take the extreme step.
However, no suicide note was recovered in this regard, and the police authorities ruled out the possibility of foul play.

They broke open the door and found him hanging from the ceiling fan with a bedsheet.
