Faculty from AIIMS Bathinda conferred with National IMA Academic Excellence Award
New Delhi: The Teacher's Day was celebrated with fervor and gaiety at the national level by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) on 18th November 2023.
During this event, many medical professionals were named honorary professors of the IMA in recognition of their contributions to the organization's professional development program. Notable medical teachers from around the nation with significant and novel contributions to medical education, research, and clinical service in India, were also honored.

Dr Paramdeep Singh, Additional Professor at the Department of Radiology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bathinda and a member of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) was bestowed with the "IMA National Young Academic Excellence Award" in recognition of his outstanding services in the field of Academics, especially Medical Education and Research.
The awards were conferred by the Hon'ble National President IMA at a ceremony organized at IMA New Delhi headquarters.
Dr Paramdeep Singh completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Radiology at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, India from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, he pursued his Bachelor of Medicine, and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Government Medical College, Patiala, India from 2001 to 2007. To further advance his expertise, Dr Singh undertook a Fellowship in Neuroradiology at the European Society of Radiology (ESR) Research and Clinical Fellowship, Department of Neuroradiology, University of Freiburg, Germany in 2012.
