Female Doctor found dead in Karnataka, police suspects suicide

Sagar: In an unfortunate incident, police found a dead body of a 36-year old woman doctor at Ganapati Tank in Sagar on Tuesday after she had gone missing on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Dr. Sharmada who was a resident of Jambagarini. She had been married to Sunil who was employed as a secretary at the Bheemankone Gram Panchayat, for the past eight years. Sharmada was reportedly employed at the Taluk Medical Officer's office.

According to Vardha Bharati report, on Monday night, Dr Sharmada closed her clinic. She would come home in her two-wheeler but that night she did not return home. Feeling concerned, her family members went outside to look for her and soon found Sharmada's two-wheeler near the lake.

After witnessing the scene, they called the police, and the police found her body in the lake after an extensive search operation.

An initial investigation by the police indicates that this is a suicide case. Her suicide remains under investigation and the cause of her death is not yet known.
