Expressing grief and condolences, one of his former patients took to X and wrote, "Dr. Devan is the one who performed angioplasty for me at Stanley Medical College Hospital. I am deeply indebted to him. I was very aggressive then, and he handled me with patience. When government insurance was delayed, he stood up against the hospital and still carried out the procedure. RIP Devan, sir."
