Hisar doctor death case: Human Rights Panel summons SIT head
Hisar: The death of a young woman doctor in Haryana’s Hisar district, who was allegedly set on fire inside a university room, has come under intensified scrutiny by the Haryana Human Rights Commission. In the latest development, the commission has summoned the Special Investigation Team (SIT) officer to appear in person with the complete and original investigation records.
The matter reached the commission after a complaint was filed by the deceased doctor’s mother. She stated that on April 24, 2025, she was informed that her daughter was set on fire in his university room in Hisar. An FIR was registered in the case. However, she alleged that the accused was released in connivance with the police and that no effective action had been taken. She approached the commission seeking a fair and impartial investigation.
